⚡Rebel No More⚡ hip #135

"Rebel" is a yearling mustang filly from Nevada Wild Horse Range, HMA. Rebel is currently 13.1hh, and should mature to be around 15hh

REBEL IS UP FOR REASSIGNMENT!
We would love to keep her but we just don't have the means to do so. The girls would like to continue training and competing with wild mustangs.

Rebel is a finer b***d but nicely built athlete. She has been referred to as the mustang version of the border collie, extremely intelligent, perceptive and could be an endurance or competitive athlete in any sport.

After hundreds of hours (well over 200, likely closer to 300 hours now), she has really came out of her shell. She is a very sweet and VERY willing girl! She is so intelligent and has so much potential! She will need someone with experience as she is still just a baby. She has been trained by Edie, a 10yr old girl for the Fort Worth Extreme Mustang Makeover.

Post EMM, Edie is continuing training with Rebel. Things are going so well. Both of them are so much more laid back and relaxed.
She has a new trick now!!! She can bow!!!
Edie has also been working on liberty work with her! She is so intelligent & is catching right on!!

She knows all basic ground work such as:
Halter broke
Broke to lead
Stops
Backs
Stands tied
Stands to be groomed and bathed
Stands to be fly sprayed
Will wear a fly mask, blanket or sleazy
Loads in a trailer
Picks up all 4 feet
Trots in hand
Lunges W/T/C
Sidepasses
Will go over obstacles
and has basic desensitizing done!
And much more!

We hate to see Rebel go but will be excited to see her go to the right home with someone to truly love her and will bond with her and walk with her on these next steps of her journey.

Waylon currently stands 14hh and should mature to 16hh+He was my draw for the Fort Worth Extreme Mustang Makeover, and we competed a couple weeks ago.
Waylon has been a very sweet soul since the beginning. He has been a breeze to train and has the sweetest most goofy personality! He would rather cuddle with you and be lazy all day more than anything, but has speed when asked.
He loves everybody especially kids!!
He knows all basic ground work such as:

Leads

Backs
Pivots
Trots in hand
Stands tied
Stands to be bathed and groomed
Stands to be fly sprayed

Well, the Fort Worth EMM has came to an end. We are sadly leaving without any ribbons, but instead, memories to last a life time.
When we picked up in May, I had no clue what I was getting into. I could get a completely wild one that's aggressive, flighty, and terrified or a sweet gentle, puppy dog. I ended up with the sweetest boy Waylon and couldn't have asked for a better partner to show with!!
He had never been in the show environment before and just adapted so well. He had never been stalled before and was stalled for 4 days straight and didn't bat an eye. The arenas were huge and this place was terrifying to me as a human so I can't imagine how scary it was to him.. We went and I did my job, which was to train him and compete.
Going into this I really wanted to place well to prove to everyone I could do this, that I am capable because I feel like I failed last year. Well, that didn't happen but I am endlessly proud of this mustang. He has given me his all and is just the sweetest!
I am very disappointed but, as a human being I think it is only natural. I have made so many memories of a life time and will forever be grateful for everyone's support.
This wouldn't be possible without my amazing friends and family! ❤
Here's to next year's makover 🥳

Well, we made it to Fort Worth! Both Waylon & Rebel traveled 4.5hrs in the trailer without a problem! We got them there, got their hip numbers painted on, got into their stalls, went to the arenas to get a feel for things, met some friends, and Waylon got a bath! I am overly proud of how they handled everything! I can not wait to see what tomorrow holds!!

In just 14 short hours we head out for Fort Worth!!! We can not wait to meet everyone and their mustangs! I can not wait to see how we do, but no matter what we'll alway be endlessly proud of these babies! They have came SOOOO far in the last 100 days❤

We were finally able to take Waylon and Rebel to an indoor arena today!! I am SOO proud of them both and they exceeded all expectations!! They were absolutely perfect and were so willing! I can not believe in less than a week we'll be in Fort Worth showing!
Don't forget next week both of these cuties will be available for adoption!

It's crazy what 100 days can do!! Waylon went from a tiny, scrawny, little baby, to a full grown, young man😭😭😭 I can't believe how much weight and muscle he's put on, and how much he's grown!!! I can't believe there are only 19 days left until the show!! Who's excited?!

Don't forget Waylon will be available at the competition! He's looking for his forever home and will make somone an AMAZING horse!

We were finally able to take Waylon and Rebel on an adventure today!! We took them to our local arena and to the vet! They got blood drawn for their Coggins, and we also got their health certificates for Fort Worth!! They exceeded all expectations and we are SO proud of them!! They loaded up amazingly, hauled for the first time, unloaded, walked all around the arena, did everything that was asked of them perfectly, walked around the bleachers, and under the porch/carport! We have been working lots on our freestyles, cleaning up our maneuvers, and getting prepared for Fort Worth! I can't believe it is only 3 weeks away🤯

Waylon has been a very sweet soul since the beginning. He has been a breeze to train and has the sweetest most goofy personality! He would rather cuddle with you and be lazy all day more than anything, but has speed when asked.
He loves everybody especially kids!!
I have been training him for the last 3 months for the Fort Worth Extreme mustang makover, and he will be available after the competition September 8-10th! We are trying to find him a potential adopter early as we would like to be able to meet them at the makover to see if it's a perfect match, but if that doesn't work for you we can make accommodations.

Pivots
Trots in hand
Stands tied
Stands to be bathed and groomed
Stands to be fly sprayed

Waylon has been doing phenomenal! I body clipped him on Monday and he now looks amazing. He has finally started putting weight and muscle on..

We have been working on lots of obstacles and things that will be in our classes.
Such as:
Catching and drawing in, in the round pen
Stopping and brushing at the barrel
Perfecting loading in the trailer
Working gates
Trotting into the back up chute
Sidepassing over logs
Trotting over poles
Going over bridges
And preparing for our freestyle!!
He finally got jumping down today too!

She is not longer #4014, everyone meet "Rebel"!!

This little girl has been so difficult!

She has been aggressive, flighty, skittish, and just overall challenging! I am SO proud of Edie for sticking with it and being committed! I can NOT wait to see these two compete together in Fort Worth!

I can't believe I've had this little guy for 1 whole week 😭 it's crazy to believe!

His personality is really starting to shine! He is such a smart guy, and a real thinker! Can't wait for the next couple months with this guy💞

The mustang setup is officially ready to go! We leave at 5:00am tomorrow (May 13th, 2022) and will arrive to the Paul's Valley, Oklahoma holding facility around 8:00am! My sister and I are so excited for a new journey with these new stangs! !! Keep a look out for the introduction post tomorrow!
