ADOPTED!!!

Chase 🐻 Chase was surrendered through no fault of his own. He is about 5 months old, neutered, microchipped, and had his first set of vaccines. He is 5 pounds currently and may grow some more.

He is a puppy, so he is not housebroken. He will need to go to the vet for additional vaccine boosters, which his new owner will be responsible for.

Chase is $60 to adopt. We are open Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm. Our adoptions are first come, first serve. We do not do holds.

ADOPTED

Bandi is our longest term dog. She has been with us since. Oct. 18, 2022. She is such a sweet girl who deserves to have a forever family to call her own. Bandi knows basic commands as she has been through our Dogs of Lincoln program. Bandi plays well with other dogs, she does play a little rough and that can be intimidating to other dogs. We do not know what she thinks about cats.
We know Bandi will make some one an amazing companion! She currently weighs 50 pounds.
Bandi is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated and heartworm negative. She is sponsored so she is free to an approved home.

⚠️It is happening!⚠️ Our kennel area is being worked on this week.

➡️What does this mean? Our already small kennel space is literally cut in half. We will have some adoptable dogs at the shelter in pop up kennels, but most of the others will be in boarding. BUT!!!!! They are still up for adoption and our Animal Welfare Officers are ready to drive back and forth if that means we can get these dogs into loving homes. 🚎

➡️What to do? If you have a dog you are interested in adopting or meeting, call or message us before coming to the shelter. That way, we can go to the boarding facility, pick that dog up, bring them back to the shelter for a meet-and-greet, and HOPEFULLY you'll decide to take them home with you! ❤️

➡️How will you know what dogs are up for adoption? ALL of our adoptable dogs can always be found in our Adoptable Dogs photo album! We will have additional adoptable dogs popping up this week because they are coming off their stray hold, so stay tuned for their photos! 📸

➡️Want to help? We will still need volunteers for the dogs kept in pop up kennels at the shelter. They will have limited time outside so the more volunteers, the better! We are going to miss our student volunteers when they go home for break, so we are looking for new volunteers! Come down whenever we are open to get started! 🦮

➡️More of a cat person? 😻 Don't worry, we have plenty of adoptable cats and some more on the way as well. They will still be at the shelter but like we have been doing, we will have to bring them into the office for you to meet them. If you plan on adopting, bring a cat carrier for safe transporting! All of our adoptable cats can be found in our Adoptable Cats album!
