Meet Madam Mim!!

This pretty lady is about 2 and a half years old.

Madam Mim is such a sweet, gentle girl!
She’s not a cat who seems to play much but she really just likes to lounge around and enjoy lots of beauty sleep!
She does enjoy all the people who open her kennel and offer pets!

We think Madam Mim would be fine to live with other cats as long as she had a slow and proper introduction.
We have no idea what she thinks about dogs.

Really, as long as she can have a nice warm window and/or lots of comfy places to take naps, I think she’d be happy in most living situations!

Madam Mim is spayed, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccines and negative for FeLV and FIV. Her adoption fee is $30.

Meet (Zeus-ADOPTED), Aries and Apollo!!

These handsome boys are 10 weeks old. We believe they are Pit mixes of some type. They currently weigh about 11-14 pounds each. We anticipate they will likely be around 60-70 pounds full grown.

These 3 boys are sweet as ever!! They love people, cuddles and being loved on! We have had them since the day they were born, and it has been a joy to watch them flourish into their individual personalities!

They enjoy playing with one another. We think with how young and impressionable they are, they would do fine living with other dogs and likely cats since they’ve never met one before.

We know with consistent time, patience and training, these boys will grow up to be amazing additions to their future families!!

They have been started on their puppy vaccines but will still need a few more over the next couple months.

They are all neutered, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccines and on heartworm/flea/tick prevention. Their adoption fees are $85.

Meet Eros, (Hades-ADOPTED) and Poseidon!!!

These handsome boys are 10 weeks old. We believe they are Pit mixes of some type. They currently weigh about 9-10 pounds each. We anticipate they will likely be around 50-60 pounds full grown.

These 3 boys are sweet as ever!! They love people, cuddles and being loved on! We have had them since the day they were born, and it has been a joy to watch them flourish into their individual personalities!

Santa’s reindeer made a pit stop at our shelter last night!
We are hoping to make their next pit stop their fur-ever homes 🤍

Around Christmas time we get families coming in left and right to look at our kittens, so we wanted to highlight some of our beautiful adult females who are just as eager for their own homes this Holiday season!

In order: Opal, Queen, Madam Mim and Val are viewable at our shelter anytime we are open!!

They range from 1-3 years old and all come with varying personalities!

THANK YOU to everyone who was able to come to photos with Santa with their puppy dogs!!

And THANK YOU stonecloudbrewingstw for being consistent support and friends to us at the HSS! We appreciate you guys putting on this adorable fundraiser!!

Apollo, Aries and Zeus all had a blast!

Rumor has it their wish to Santa was asking for fur-ever families of their own ;)

These boys and their 7 siblings are not quite up for adoption at this time. The only setback is they are still waiting to be spayed/neutered before they can leave the shelter to their forever homes!!

These pups are currently 9 weeks old. Their mom is a 70 pound Blue Pit mix. We have no idea what the dad was. We are anticipating they will be between 50-70 pounds full grown (depending on which of the 10 puppies you are looking at).

We are accepting early applications at this time as we are hoping after surgery, they can recover in the comfort of their new homes and not at the shelter.

Upon the time that the pups will be ready for adoption, we will coordinate with approved applications to arrange pick ups from the shelter!!

At this time, we don’t have a specific surgery day for the pups. But we are hoping to have them ready to go within 2 weeks or so!!

Meet Paisley!!

This beautiful girl is about a year and a half old.

Paisley transferred to our facility from our friends at Tiny Paws Kitten Rescue!
Paisley showed up to Tiny Paws when she was only a couple days old. She has literally spent her entire life being raised and loved by humans!

Paisley is such a fun, sweet and also stubborn girl! We are hoping she can have a forever family of her own before too long!

When it comes to other cats at our shelter, Paisley loves to play the tease/taunt game. She paws at the cats/kittens in her neighboring kennels and instigates the play then immediately acts offended when they engage back.
We think she probably wouldn’t mind living with other cats as long as they had a slow and proper introduction…. As well as a patient and playful personality to match hers.

Paisley has never been around dogs before.

If you’ve ever interacted with Paisley, you’ve probably experienced her crawling into your lap and cuddling for literally hours on end if you’d let her.

We know she is such an awesome girl and she will make someone a fantastic companion!!

Last weekend our staff was able to get together for our annual Christmas party as we took some time to relax, have fun and enjoy one another’s company outside of the shelter walls!

Our page is usually focused around the animals in our care (for good reason).
But it is very important to acknowledge and recognize the crew behind the scenes that keep the shelter running, the animals happy, fed and loved while they await their fur-ever homes.

We work 365 days a year whether it’s a Holiday, whether the sun is shining, snow is falling or ice has us falling on our butts.
It truly takes a team of selfless people to do the work that these guys do.
It was such a joy to all get together and enjoy a fun night without kitties jumping on our shoulders, p**p on the bottom of our shoes and puppies screaming in our ears🫣
(Though we wouldn’t have it any other way)

I want to give a HUGE thank you to Chuck and Dee Dee Leibenau with CCD Rentals LLC for sponsoring our meal and making this night possible for us!!

Chipper came into our care way back in late August as a super shy, unsure little guy.

He started his long road to recovery as he went through heartworm treatment, gained confidence, flourished into his personality and even got hit by a car which prolonged his recovery process!
All in all, though Chippers journey wasn’t smooth, we are so happy that through all the stress, tears and patience, mostly from Chippers foster mom Lana, he was able to find a furever family who is going to spoil him, love him and give him the life he deserved all along!!

Way to go sweet boy!!

Meet Allison!!

This smiley girl is about 2 years old. We believe she is a Heeler/Beagle/Pit mix. She currently weighs about 55 pounds and is done growing.

Allison is such a happy, loyal girl! She always has a big smile on her face which is contagious to whoever she’s with!

Allison loves any person she’s met and she is so ready to have a family all to herself!!

Allison does show interest in wanting to play with some of our other dogs here.
We think she would be just fine to live with maybe 1-2 other dogs who are a little more relaxed and would allow her to be her confident self.

Sharing her attention with 20+ other dogs is definitely a bit overwhelming for her and she’s quickly growing tired of the shelter life.
We have no idea what she thinks about cats.

Allison is truly such a sweet girl and we know that her full personality will only flourish more once she’s able to leave the shelter into a home of her own!!

Meet Noel, Holly and Coal!!

These adorable babies are about 10 weeks old.

Noel and Holly are female.
Coal is male.

These sweet kittens are eager to have families of their very own for Christmas!
They are playful, cuddly and still exploring the world for themselves!

They seem to enjoy the company of one another. We think they would likely enjoy having other cats in their future home as long as they had a slow and proper introduction.
We have no idea that they’ve ever met a dog before, so again with a slow and proper introduction, they could likely be just fine to live with dogs!

These kittens have been started on their vaccinations but still have several more to go over the next couple months which will be up to the responsibility of their future owners to handle.

Noel and Holly are spayed.
Coal is neutered.

They are all microchipped, up-to-date on vaccines and negative for FeLV and FIV. Their adoption fees are $55 each.
