I have made the difficult decision to close my little business of pet sitting in Stillwater. I started Whiskers2Tails because my job ended at a school and at the time, no one was hiring. I searched for a teaching job for almost a year until I finally landed a librarian position in OKC.

Pet sitting was a way for me to supplement my teaching income (which is still miserably low), working many long hours, sometimes 7 days a week for months at a time. I gave up all my breaks from school to work hard for my clients and their pets. My daughter, Lauren, joined me in the business several years ago and we've both loved taking care of our furry friends over the years. I was very proud of myself for starting a business and seeing success for many years until Covid changed our lives. Our business dried up and we haven't been able to recover enough to keep going.

I've loved being a champion for pets and animals in Stillwater, and plan to continue to do so.

Thank you to our clients and their pets, many of whom we have taken care of for a few years now. I will miss those kisses and snuggles from my furry friends.

We haven't been taking new clients for a while now, but I usually will care for existing clients when needed. This week I've been taking care of the sweetest kittie, Muffin. She loves head scratches and sitting on my lap.

I'm watching over these sweet babies for a while. I've watched the pups for close to 7 years now, if not longer. Pixie the cat, is a newer friend. She's a snuggle bug, just like her sister, Trixie! Bugsy still likes a good neck scratch.

I spent some time with a herd of Guinea pigs today (and a lone Hamster). All were well behaved and I have missed the funny noises piggies make!

Pete and I are watching our dear doggie friend, Madison, while her mama is on a trip. We have slept, howled, kept away from Ginny, and snuggled with her. She's a sweetheart!

Please don't leave your pet in your car!

It's 82 degrees outside. People like to leave their dogs in the car while they run into the store for just a "minute". If we get to your car before you come back out, the ticket is $260. We have a city ordinance that states:

"Further, it shall be unlawful to:
(3)Leave an animal enclosed within a vehicle, or the bed of a parked truck, in ambient temperature which exceeds 79 degrees Fahrenheit unless said animal is enclosed inside the vehicle with the air conditioning turned on." under Sec 6-9.

Please leave your pets at home. The inside of a car heats up very quickly.

These three are pets of long time clients. Bugsy loves wearing his cute little sweater. Trixie is one of the most affectionate dogs I've ever known. Pixel is their newest kid and this cat loves to snuggle and get belly rubs!

The world lost a sweet little angel today. My best friend's pup, Riley, went over the rainbow bridge this afternoon. I called her my little lamb and my angel girl. I've known and loved her for many years. Our hearts are broken, but if there's a doggy heaven, she is surely playing with her friends Puddle and Ellie.

Happy National Kitten Day! This is Pixel, the new baby of some long time clients. I haven't seen these two pups in over a year and a half! Trixie will be a model for a tongue out Tuesday picture soon. I was completely surprised when Bugsy jumped in my lap. He would barely let me pet him before. I guess he was just happy to see me!

These two fluffy babies are so sweet! Carrot is the bunny and Harry is the chinchilla. They both enjoyed head and back scratches today. Harry enjoyed yard play while I refilled water and food bowls.
