He came to North Dakota nineteen years ago to start and manage a counseling center for Trinity Medical Center. He served as the director for seven years and then pursued a work with a local ministry. During this time he wrote and developed skills that gave him an appreciation for public speaking. sychiatric programs nationwide, served in the mental health field for almost thirty years and is a proud survivor of nineteen North Dakota winters. He was named a healthcare provider of the year in 1998 and was received into the National Speaker’s Bureau of Distinction in 2001. He is a devoted pet lover, singer, author, lecturer, Cajun gourmet cook, humorist, talk show host and the proud father of five children and eight grandchildren. Dr. Edwards holds a doctorate in psychology and counseling, is a certified su***de specialist, state licensed therapist and is a nationally certified marriage and family therapist. He specializes in marriage therapy, depression, anxiety and stress management.
