PUBLIC ADVISORY! Please beware of scammers. We were contacted this afternoon by a victim who was scammed out of over $1000 using one our pictures. We thought we were being so careful using a watermark but that is not enough anymore to stop them from stealing our photos. Here are some key points to watch for or take into account when looking for the right pet from the right program for you.

-Make sure you speak directly to your breeder and that they have no issue with answering any and all questions.

-Pushy salesman talk=scammer No respectable/ethical breeder is going to “salesman” you into buying the dog and keep demanding “fees.” When in doubt, go with your gut.

-Ask for references. Actually puppy owners with grown dogs from the breeder’s program.

-Check reviews and investigate the profiles making the reviews for evidence that they were made by real people.

-NEVER send money to anyone you haven’t atleast spoken to over the phone. NO CALLS= SCAMMER it’s ok to ask for a FaceTime and some identification to ensure they are real person.

-NEVER send any more than $500 for a deposit and make sure that if you have to pay in full before pickup (normal for long distance purchases) that you have fully trust them implicitly and have set up a relationship/interpersonal bond with them. Better if you can pay in person.

-No adoption contract with no interest in knowing where the puppy will be going or the environment it will be raised in should be viewed as MAJOR 🚩 🚩 🚩 🚩 🚩

Headed to town for some supplies and working on some training with Morrigan today. Venom tagging along as the training “mirror” since he tends to also be a calming presence and confidence booster. On a side note, Venom is back to a million bucks and other than the area where he was shaved for surgery, you’d never think 1 1/2 months ago he was fighting for his life.

This beautiful boy is 13 days post surgery and back at it. He was ready to get back out on the ranch a week ago but he was on strict bed rest. He still has to take it easy and has a good way to get back to his big muscular self so for now he’s supervising from the truck.

The last couple weeks were a whirlwind of stressful ups and downs. This beautiful boy began to go downhill quickly a couple weeks ago only to discover last week he had a rare type of kidney tumor (less than 1% chance of developing/not genetic). We were able to get him to a top notch team of veterinary specialists at Oklahoma Veterinary Specialist where they were able to remove the tumor and it did not appear to spread though given the size could easily have. Unfortunately it is known to reoccur but regular retreating and monitoring his health closely will help us help him and be prepared if that times comes again. Until then, Venom is a whole new dog only 8 days post surgery. He’s been showing off his smooth gait and giving me his best CH strut the last few days trying to convince me his pain is controlled and he’s ready to get back out there. Obviously he won’t be going out scouting the ranch with me or competing anytime soon but he seems so happy to jusr go to get his staples removed. He still has a good amount of rehab I g to do ahead of him but we could not have asked for a better outcome thus far. This boy is priceless.

The girls are taking all the new sights and sounds of their first show weekend in smooth stride. This is such a great training experience for them even if we walk away with no wins. This is where we evaluate where we need to work and what they are tolerating.
