Woest-Hoeve GB Lilly is confirmed bred AI to Easy Stream Rainman. We kept a buck kid from Lilly last year to use on our Draco babies and Draco’s sister and dam. Cherry Tree Hidden treasure is quite handsome. We are excited to see what we get this year.

We are hoping to get a doe kid but would be willing to let a buck kid go if she has one. Her kids have always been eye catching and so correct.

Kenzie spent the weekend with us and she and Bri teamed up to bring more good news on pregnancy confirmations.

We’ve not revealed many but here is one. These babies will go straight to the keeper pen for a while.

Cherry Tree Hannah has been confirmed bred to Hedge Hollow Pepperkorn. 😍

Pepperkorn is the sire of CH (pending) Cherry Tree Lil Twixie. Hannah is an AI daughter of CH Hoanbu PS Eye of the Storm. This breeding combines two of our favorite bucks and doe lines. So while we don’t have a ton of data to share about this breeding, we can say these are two does that we love to just look at in the pasture and know they are what we like. They have all the pieces we’ve been looking for.

Here’s to hoping for some 🎀 and maybe a 🧢 one too!!

We are looking to put 7 does, all exposed to a buck and will be confirmed bred, into a milking herd. At this amount, they will all need to go together. If we have registered then we will send the paperwork. If not we will not or will register them for a fee.

7-2yo does, 1 will be a Second fresh and turn 3 in the summer.

Why the smug look? We ultrasounded 8 does tonight including 3 AI’s. And we are excited to say all of them are pregnant!! More news to come but we couldn’t wait to share the news.

A whirlwind of a 24 hours with the goats. We had a good time. Spent time with lots of friends and also got a few ribbons. I’ll try to list them for records later but may forget one or two based on the day’s activities.

Tulsa State Fair Dairy goat show. How it started and how it ended. But the middle was pretty good!!

Delayed post as we went, had fun and came home before I even posted anything.

OSF was great this year. We had some of the old crew with us and some of the older crew joined us.

Bri was named champion Showman thanks to the head to tail line moves she learned from Joseph Larson circa ?2016? But she never forgot them and this time it made all the difference in the world. ♥️

Junior show was good. All nice placings with Cherry Tree You Knew winning grand and then Best In Show for one youth ring. She also was reserve grand in an open ring.

Cherry Tree Esteem was reserve grand and Kate joined us to show her!!

Seniors did great with two grands and two reserved in youth with Twixie and Moonshine. Moonshine went on to win reserve in the open show.

Our nubian group is small and special to us so Bri chose to milk Twixie and show in a regular class. The kind words Kirt Schnipke had to say about Twixie made it worth it as he still loved and getting to see her milked out just reinforced his suspicions that she was a nice aged doe.

But for the momma, the discussion he and Bri had about why is what melted my heart. He simply asked her why? Why would you milk this goat out? Bri explained Twixie has had her day, multiple days for that matter. And it is okay for her to step back sometimes just in case she needs to cheer for a friend. She is Bri’s heart goat for sure. But when he spoke over the microphone about her sportsmanship and her thoughtfulness of doing that, it melted my heart. And this isn’t about if it was right or wrong. It was her choice and she gladly explained why she did it, with a smile on her face. That makes me love these kids and all the families we have met. Sometimes she shows her full but today she did not and that made all the difference in the world to another very special goat. Kirt did tell her and the audience that Twicie may have won otherwise but she didn’t. At least not on the paper. But she won to Bri and to our farm!

Kenzie joined us as well for dinner Tuesday. Sam’s doe, a Twixie grand daughter was Best in show in the open Junior show which is also kinda special. A great last state fair in OKC for Sam!

One more to go and the goats are retired until next year.

Ok all the Nubian fans out there. We have one Nubian buck available. He is a yearling and living with his 2yo full brother. We want him gone!!! It is the only one with two bucks together and during breeding season I’m sure you can see how that is a problem. Message me if you need a buck and we might be able to work something out.

Goats are smart.

Except when they are dumb.

Why all of a sudden Gemi wants to put her head through, not one, but two sides of a hay feeder. In 10 years no goat has ever put its head in the hay feeder. And there was no way to get her out and we tried it all.

So Dean broke out the grinder (and then the welder) to free her.

Goat for sale!!! She’s cute. Maybe not smart but for sure cute!

Breeding season is in full swing now. The bucks are over the moon 🌙 excited about this season.

Well this year she is going to give us her first breeding in 10 years NOT to a nubian. We decided to make some Snoobians!!! Jen-Mae-Ka Kids Pixar was happy to be chosen for the honors.

She is the only RG Kenzie has left and she decided to venture back into them again.
