My beautiful Harmony from Quein and Fabian’s 1st full Biewer Terrier litter has gone to her new furever home! Thank you so very much Crystal for trusting me and giving my precious baby girl her new and loving home! May she bring you and your beautiful family nothing but smiles, everlasting memories, and years of love! Now I just have to secure homes for her brothers that are still 👀 for their new families! 🫶🥰🐶🥳🤗❤️💛

PUPDATE!! And what a special pupdate it is. These two Beauties, Chloe La Roux (white) and Bella Mia (brown) and their precious Mom and Dad are so very special to me! They come from my original pair, LaLa and Polo! They are survivors as they are 2 of only 3 that lived from a litter of 8. Their brother Sir Arthur from Texas is the third survivor. LaLa had never lost a baby and then boom we lost 5! She only had one more “unplanned” litter after that as losing those babies was a sign to me that she was ready to be retired. Their precious Mom, Lily, desperately wanted a boy as she had recently lost the Morkie love of her life, Theo, very unexpectedly. I am a member in most of the Morkie groups here on Facebook and I saw her post looking for an apricot boy, however, I did not reach out to her because the apricot (now white) baby that I had available was a girl. Arthur was reserved immediately and was not available. His Mom actually chose one of the baby boys that didn’t make it first, but immediately wanted him after the other boys in the litter passed away.
Lo and behold, Lily found me and sent a message inquiring about the little apricot girl (Chloe). Though she desperately wanted a boy and against her better judgement, she reserved her. When she heard that Bella’s family decided against getting her, at 8 weeks old nonetheless, her exact words were “pack my babies up, they are both coming with me”! Then she hopped on a plane from New York and the rest is history! In the six years since that time, we have never lost touch and Lily has become a very dear friend. Her and Daddy Chris has given Chloe and Bella the best of homes and I found the best of friends.
Breeding these babies and meticulously finding homes for them is far from easy. Making connections like the ones I have made over the years and seeing the smiles and absolute joy that my babies bring to tens of families are the reason that I continue through the hard times. So thank you Lily and all the other fur parents of my babies for EVERYTHING! I wish nothing but many years together and abundant love and smiles for each and every one of you!! - With much love, Jenn 🫶🥰🐶

PUPDATE!! Over the holidays, I received so many lovely photos of our previous babies that I haven’t had a chance to post yet, but I want to showcase each and every one of them as they ALL hold a special place in my heart. This little one, Ollie from my Bella and Mishka’s litter is definitely near and dear to me. Isn’t he the most precious little Santa Baby? I can’t thank his precious Mom Sandra enough for always keeping me in the loop and sending these precious photos of little Ollie. It warms my heart to no end to receive them. 🥰🫶🩵

PUPDATE!! It’s my Symphony Rain’s mini me Olive after her spa day! She looks so much like her beautiful Momma who is expecting a new litter by Olive’s Dad, Rocc. Please send her well wishes as she recovers from her spay surgery. Her sweet Mom Sandy said that she is being such a little trooper. Thank you Sandy for giving Olive such a loving home, always updating me on her as she grows, and of course for sending me all the lovely photos of her! 🥰🫶🩷🫒

Look who made their first introduction into the world last night! It’s Shuri and Pablo’s second litter of first generation F1 Morkie babies!! Would you believe that it’s their first litter all over again down to the gender and colors? One Black/Tan boy, one Black/Tan girl, and a Brown girl which is very likely to lighten to tan like her big Sis Remi did! I am so overjoyed to welcome these beautiful and healthy babies at the start of 2025! 🫶🥰🐶🥳

PUPDATE! Just look who came to visit me over the pawlidays!! It’s Cupcake (Shuri/Pablo May litter) and Bear (Symphony Rain/Pablo May litter) dropping in to say Hi Hi!! They are both so super sweet and gave me no troubles! I can tell they were happy to see me and I was simply overjoyed to see them! Nothing makes me happier than knowing my babies are in the best of homes and living absolutely pawsome lives! Thank you Janene! 🥰🫶🐶🤶

🚨🚨 Good Morning All! We just wanted to take a few moments to formally introduce our newest line of babies, the Biewer Terrier! We know that the majority of our loyal followers and fur parents are quite familiar with the Morkie Breed, but may not be as well versed on the Biewer Terriers, so we just wanted to share a little bit about this special and unique breed. We are still very partial to the Morkies, but also fell in absolute love with the beautiful and well tempered Biewer Terriers!

So what is a Biewer Terrier?

The Biewer Terrier is a rare, purebred toy dog breed of German origin. They are known for their long, silky, tri-colored coats, which can be chocolate, tan, and white; black, tan, and white; or blue, tan, and white. Biewers are playful, energetic, and devoted companions, and are often kept as show dogs. They are highly intelligent and trainable, but can also be independent and stubborn.
Biewer Terriers are known for: Their high maintenance costs, due to their unique tri-colored coats and regular grooming needs. Their status is fifth among the most expensive dog breeds in the US.

Other characteristics of the Biewer Terrier include:

Size: 7–11 inches tall and 4–8 pounds
Temperament: Charming, whimsical, and childlike
Origin: Germany
Breed group: Toy
Exercise needs: Low
Training: Easy to train

What is the origin of the Biewer Terrier?

The Biewer Terrier was first bred in Germany in 1984 by breeders Werner and Gertrude Biewer after two tricolor puppies were born in their kennel. A friend who was a veterinarian then suggested that the new breed be called "Biewer Yorkshire Terriers." A pair of puppies named "Schneeflockchen von Friedheck" and "Schneeman" were both sold to singer Margot Eskens, who suggested adding “a la Pom Pon” to the breed's full name resulting in the full name of "Biewer Yorkshire Terrier a la Pom Pon.”
American fanciers began importing the breed from Germany to the United States in 2002. The Biewer Terrier grew in popularity and the Biewer Terrier Club of America (BTCA) was formed in 2006 to promote the breed. Members of the BTCA contacted Mars Veterinary to verify that the Biewer Terrier was a separate breed from the Yorkshire Terrier, After analyzing ten blood samples from the Biewer Terrier, it was concluded that the breed was separate from the Yorkshire Terrier. The breed was admitted into the AKC's Foundation Stock Service in 2014 and became the 197th breed recognized by the American Kennel Club in 2021.

Are Biewer Terriers Rare and why?

Yes, Biewer Terriers are rare due to the following:

Small numbers

There aren't many Biewer Terriers in the world, so intentional breeding is necessary to keep the breed alive.

High price

Biewer Terriers are one of the most expensive dog breeds in the US, with prices up to $7,000.

Long waitlist

It's unlikely you can immediately buy a Biewer Terrier puppy, and you might need to be put on a waitlist.

Short history

The Biewer Terrier is a relatively new breed that wasn't recognized until the 20th century.

Unique appearance

Biewer Terriers have a tri-colored coat that's often referred to as banded or belted. They're descended from Yorkshire Terriers, but have subtle features that give them their own appearance.

Are Biewer Terriers hypoallergenic?

Yes, Biewer Terriers are considered hypoallergenic because they don't shed and have hair similar to human hair:
Shedding
Biewer Terriers don't have an undercoat, so they don't shed much. Their fur is more like human hair than animal fur, and it usually only falls out if it's tangled in a comb.
Hypoallergenic
Biewer Terriers are considered one of the best small dog breeds for people with allergies. However, no dog is 100% hypoallergenic, so you might still have an allergic reaction.
Grooming
Biewer Terriers are fairly easy to groom, but if you let their coat grow long, you'll need to brush them daily. Their long coat requires a lot of grooming.
Biewer Terriers are a small dog breed, usually weighing between four and eight pounds and standing seven to eleven inches tall. They are energetic, playful, and devoted to their owners, and they enjoy regular exercise and playtime.
