It’s been a rough 3 weeks! We have lost 2 2 little girls and we have 1 that we are treating for pneumonia but I think she is doing ok. These little guys will be 3 weeks old tomorrow. They love to eat!!

Well we have made it through 5 very long days. All 8 puppies are doing good. Keep the prayers up we’re definitely not out of the woods yet!

Today didn’t go as planned! Patience had been throwing us since Sunday and not eating all she wanted was water. Her due date day 61 was Saturday. I had her at the vet on Monday we knew that she had aspiration and that she was full of babies. She could not even keep the meds down that she desperately needed. This morning her gums was white she was miserable! We went to the vet and checked her and the puppies out and decided that we couldn’t jeopardize her health but needed to give her some steroids for the babies and a little more time for the babies lungs and kidney develop. We did that and gave her some fluids and scheduled to do a c-section at 4:30. I stayed close to Strafford all day went and checked on her around 12 and she acted like she felt a little better. Dr Handley checked her when she got back from lunch and thought the same thing. Then at 1:47 I received a call that she had passed. She had threw up and then took a deep breath and sucked that back in her lungs and fell over dead. If it wasn’t for Makenzie & Dr. Handley and I’m sure many others at Stafford Vet Clinic I would have lost her and her babies but they took quick action and got 8 healthy beautiful babies out!! Thank you definitely will never be enough!! Patience definitely gave everything she has to these puppies.
Prayers that’s what I need now to raise 8 orphan babies😢😢
