this Saturday’s gymkhana-Sep 14-is being postponed. Our event coordinators have a funeral they are attending. We apology for such a short notice. The gymkhana will be rescheduled to October 6

SJVR when I was growing up was Known for our play days. The Halloween was always a fan favorite. We use to participate in club challenges and SJVr always won the play day event. Ben would always say “SJVR are a bunch of play daying Fools” so come out with your best Halloween costume and your favorite pot luck dish and spend the Halloween day with us. Be there or be square.

It’s HOT outside!
These high temperatures are hard on our horses. We see more colics during these times, often because horses don't adjust their water consumption as much or as quickly as they need to. Be sure you are providing lots of fresh, cool water for your horses especially as we are (and have been) passing the 100 degree mark!

Keep in mind that the average 1000lb horse drinks 5-10 gallons of water per day but in extreme temperatures they can drink as much as 2-4 times that amount! As much as is possible, please monitor your horse’s water intake to be sure they’re drinking enough.
If your horse is not drinking well, is breathing more rapidly than usual, has a decreased appetite, or if you simply have questions or concerns please always feel free to contact us!

Beautiful weather for a trail ride! Come out and support our clubs scholarship fund💰this Sunday! Respond to this post or contact Della if you are planning on attending so we have enough lunch for all riders. Raffle prize donation are also needed. All proceeds from this poker ride and raffle go towards SJVR’s scholarship fund.

Attention we have made the decision to push the Ride for Shelby date farther back to give more people time to attend as well as the arena is still pretty wet and without volunteers to dig trenches to drain the water we are worried the arena will still be to wet and I don’t want to have to reschedule multiple times. We still need raffle donations and hope to see everyone there. 🩵🩵

Rescue race

Rescue race creates memories every time!

22 years ago the United States of America was attacked by terrorists. The attack was unprovoked and carried out by cowards. Over 3,000 Americans died over the course of 3 attacks. We will never forget all who died that day including the first responders who died after from complications from their service. -Ben Gibbons SJVR was honored to have Hailey Peterson, SJCHA Junior Queen carry the American flag in honor of 911. Her and her horse did a beautiful job. Never forget 🇺🇸
