Pride Rock Rescue

Pride Rock Rescue Pride Rock Rescue is dedicated to making a difference and facilitating change by saving the lives of animals in need while also educating the public. (CT)

Together we will save the lives of neglected, abandoned, and abused animals. We will be their voice! At the same time we will dually serve people living with special needs, anxiety, and PTSD who themselves want to be a part of the solution. The solution to decrease the overpopulation of stray animals living on the streets, being euthanized for lack of space or time in municipal high-kill shelters

and to educate the public on animal health and the benefits of spaying & neutering their pets. PRIDE ROCK RESCUE is working towards 501(c)(3) non-profit status as a volunteer-run, animal rescue organization that will work closely with Animal Control and a network of foster homes until the shelter is built. The majority (90%) of the money raised will be used to cover food, shelter, and veterinary costs - spay/neuter surgeries, vaccinations, and other life-saving medical care for the animals we save. Some of the money (10%) will help pay business expenses such as lawyer and accounting fees, liability insurance, and other start-up costs. PRIDE ROCK RESCUE will partner with other non-profit organization to facilitate positive change for animals and people living in our community. TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE! One life at a time, one change at a time.

From Creature Comforts Animal Inn LLC:
R***r is our last adoptable dog left! Let’s get him a home for Valentine’s day!

R***r has recently been other dog tested and approved! The sky is the limit with this young pup. He still needs a little training as he is very young and is just starting to learn how to be a dog, but he is incredibly sweet and full of potential!

While he believes he is a lap dog, he also has the energy to go on walks or runs with his future human, he has been dabbling in agility while at the kennel and he loves it! Come meet R***r today!

We will ALWAYS remember!

Most people are aware that Michael Vick was a dogfighter. They may even have illusions of what they think dogfighting is at its worst or the suspected actions that take place. However, what Vick did was not simple dogfighting.

Picture your dog or your friend’s dog tossed to a couple of animals trained to fight for humans. Imagine that animal screaming as it is being ripped apart and having its throat ripped out. Imagine the person that tossed that helpless animal to the other animals just laughing as it occurs and later admitting he thought it was funny. That person who tossed the animals to the others is Michael Vick.

Imagine taking a bucket used to hold water, filling it with water, and holding a dogs head in it until it drowns while it stands on land.

Have you ever thought of the image of hanging a dog? He did that too. He also picked them up over his head before slamming them downward on concrete at his full force over and over.

Imagine the blunt force trauma that dog felt as it hit concrete over and over from not dying the first time.

He also attached jumper cables to their ears and tossed them in a pool to electrocute them.

This is not about dogfighting. That has become a separate issue. The acts in dogfighting are disgusting and reprehensible. What Vick did was to take it one step further and find a way to legitimately torture dogs like a horror movie.

Not my words but written perfectly.

If you support this man I have nothing but disgust for you. This is not normal behavior that should be rewarded. Ever. And spare me the" he did his time" does that make it better? He got out of his time because of his fame. When asked years later about the surviving 52 dogs he said quote" I don't give a damn about those dogs ". Vick is not redeemed, he got away with it.
Shameful, disgusting, atrocious, pathetic, gross, inhumae, cruel, appalling, monster...that's who Mike Vick is and always will be.

SHAME ON THE NFL!!!

🆘This 12 year old female has not only lost her owner, but also her fellow feline companion all within a few months. She is currently still in the house she has always lived in, but nobody lives there as the home is now undergoing renovations and maintenance. People do go to feed her and change her litter regularly; please refrain from negative comments. Still, she is kept in a crate to keep her safe while said renovations and repairs are underway. We know this is not an ideal situation whatsoever, hence the urgent plea for help.
Is any reputable rescue able to take her on? Can anyone foster? There are no vet records for her and we don’t believe she is even spayed. She is blind in one eye…
This senior gal deserves to be loved and doted on after her human mama and feline friend have both left this life. Can anyone step up to show her that she’s not alone?
Anyone? 😭💔

We are in dire need of 1 or 2 foster homes for these kitties in order for us to help them.
Foster home should have a separate room for isolation until they are vet checked and receive first vaccinations, deworming and FIV/FeLv test.
Currently located in Plainfield, a Good Samaritan has been feeding them and providing shelter for them. We would love to get them out of the cold and vetted as soon as possible!!!
We NEED fosters and also funding.
Mama is a young torbie.
Kittens appear to be about 10-ish weeks
The black beauty is believed to be an older kitten that has been hanging around with them.
Kittens will need a foster together. If the foster wants to foster mama as well, then great! If not, we will need a separate foster for her and a separate foster for the black beauty who is thought to be a male.
Please message us if you’re interested in fostering!!!!
Donations towards their vetting and supplies can be sent via the following:

🆘 Pledges needed NOW🆘 We have a committed foster but also would like to have a Plan B in place in case the current dogs in the foster home do not take kindly to her.
Plan C will help cover boarding and training. This is beyond urgent.

STILL WAITING TO BE ADOPTED!!!
🐾 MAX is a 3 year old small breed mix weighing 14lbs. He has been with us for a few months now and keeps getting overlooked, especially right now as everyone seems to just be looking for a puppy to put under their tree 🙄
🐾 MAX is fully vetted and is great with other dogs. He would do fine with another playful dog in the home but could also be fine as an only dog with lots of play time! Max surely needs a fenced in yard as he loooooves to run, run and RUN! He absolutely loves toys and can play all day but then crashes hard for cuddles under the blanket! He is quite affectionate and would love to be adopted!
🗺️ MAX is currently being fostered in SE CT.

“I’m sprung, Dog, she got me… “🎶
Fresh out of the Waterbury pound, we would like to introduce you to LITTLE LEO!!!
♌️LEO♌️ is 9 years old and found himself at the pound after his owner ended up in hospice care. He was beyond scared of his new surroundings but made friends with ACO Cindy and confided in her. When we visited the pound, we knew we couldn’t leave him behind, even though he wanted to be big and bad and tell us where to go and exactly how to get there!
LEO is missing all of his teefies after his right top and bottom canines over to the left. His remaining teeth surely either need a hefty cleaning or numerous extractions. Little Leo will also need a full blood panel done as well as 4DX, neuter and microchip on top of the typical deworming and preventatives etc.
Even though Leo has a raspy little bark that sounds like a congested duck, he has expressed to us that he is just the sweetest little thing and loves to be catered to. He has also shown exemplary interest with dogs of all sizes. Leo is also a side sleeper and will insist on sleeping at your hip under the blankies.
Donations towards his vetting can be made here:
