Lake Animal Hospital is a locally owned veterinary clinic that specializes in dogs and cats, although we have seen birds, rats, ferrets, rabbits, and turtles. All of our animals have presents on the way ❤️🎁, so we’ve decided to put them all back on the tree so that others who are still in the giving spirit can have a chance to spoil a furry friend. Look at our lovebug Prime! He finally has a home! 🎉 He’s been waiting for this day since April. Our staff has absolutely loved getting to know this guy, but we are beyond happy that he is getting new humans, a new name (Chapo), and new doggy brothers to share a home with for Christmas ❤️. He was so excited he could hardly sit still! Thank you so so much for taking our boy home! 🎄

“ADOPT” A PET FROM OUR TREE!! 🎄🐶🐱
For those animals who sadly won’t be getting a home for Christmas, the least we can do is get them a present! 🎁 We urge you and your family/ friends to stop by the clinic, grab an animal from the tree, and go on a little shopping trip to make their Christmas wishes come true! We have 14 sweet souls to choose from!

On the back of each ornament is the animals name and a list of three items that they would like. We ask that you limit yourself or your group to just 1 ornament so that more people can get a chance to spoil an animal for Christmas. Please have the presents here by DECEMBER 23rd, and keep an eye out on our Facebook to catch pictures of everyone enjoying their new goodies.❤️💚

Kiwi 🥝 was taken in off the streets but unfortunately just does not get along with the resident cat and needs a new placement on a farm or in a home most likely as an only cat. Here is what is his caretaker has to say:

“He's estimated to be 2 years old, can coexist with dogs, but does not like my female cat (has tried to attack her unprovoked 4 times). unsure about male cats? He's litter trained, and I haven't seen him scratch up furniture or fabric and he's been inside for a month now. He likes to use a cardboard scratcher and is very friendly to humans but doesnt like his belly scratched. He will be great as an indoor/outdoor cat, indoor only, or outdoor only since he's accustomed to the outside. He will often wait at my garage door to be let out (which we don't), so I think he misses roaming but likes being able to come back to "home" for a full belly and shelter. He's gotten his annual wellness- looks great, ears cleaned and nails trimmed, neutered, vaccinated (only for rabies), on flea and tick prevention, has been dewormed.”

What’s the holiday season without a Cookie? 🍪🎄 This sweetheart wants so badly a home for Christmas! Cookie and her sister Crumb were found in someone’s car, in a kennel, covered in fleas and their own waste. Now, Crumb has a home of her own, but Cookie is still waiting for hers. She is about 7-8 years old, and has lots of pep in her step. She loves to run when she goes outside to potty, and she also loves to chase you and play! She enjoys playing with soft squeaker toys, but she may get a little side tracked and play bite your hands instead. Cookie is just a goofy playful girl. ⭐️ She also gives the best kisses, loves attention, and she will make herself quite comfortable on your chest if you lay on your back.👅 She is such a champ about going outside in the cold and snow despite being a smaller dog, and she goes potty right away. ❄️ She is more of the dominant type, so we think she will have an easier time being the only dog in the household. Cookie would make the perfect addition to your home for the holidays, please consider adding her to your life! ☃️❤️💚

Molly, our cat with the cutest roundest cheeks 😍, was relinquished to us in June after her elderly owner was moved into a nursing home. She had grown quite comfortable in her calm, quiet, life with just her and her human, so she has found kennel life less than amusing. 😿 Molly is more than ready to find her new home so she can get back to how things were before! After all this time, she still hisses at any cat that passes her by, so we think she would do best in a single pet household. When she gets time outside her kennel, she loves to explore.🗺️ Molly will find any nook and cranny to make herself comfortable. She is very good at hiding! She also loves treats, which can snap her out of any bad mood. 🐟 Molly enjoys being petted on her head and rubbing up against you, but overall she is pretty independent. She’s not much of a lap cat or a cuddler, she much prefers to do her own thing and make her way back over for some attention when she feels like it. 💕All Molly needs is a scratching post, some treats, a toy or two to keep her stimulated, and a calm environment to be happy. If you are looking for some quiet company that you can count on to be near, but won’t be overbearing, Molly is the cat for you!!

ADOPTABLE 🩷 This is Cleo!! Cleo is looking for her forEVER home. This poor girl has been shuffled around a couple times, and she keeps finding her way back to us unfortunately. But we have to keep trying! This is her second time being relinquished to the clinic. The first time, she was nothing short of spicy. She made her boundaries very clear 😬. But this time around, after the first couple weeks, she is a completely different cat! We think she has finally realized she needs to be nice if she wants a chance at a new home. We are currently housing 24 animals right now. That is a LOT for us. We are having an adoption event THIS SATURDAY from 1-3pm. Most of these names on this board are ready to meet YOU. They may just be the companion you’ve been missing. 💞 We are taking applications that same day, and we will work to get them processed as fast as possible in the following days. ADOPTED 🎉 Marley is still looking for a home! He is a 16 year old purebred Red Abyssinian. An old man looking for a calm quiet home to spend his senior years. Marley is super friendly with everyone he meets. He loves to cuddle and is very affectionate. He could spend forever curled up in your lap, it’s his favorite place to be (besides the food bowl 😉). Lots of change is hard on senior animals, so a home most similar to Marley’s original home would be ideal. Not too busy, maybe 1 other cat with the proper introduction, and with humans who are able to handle him respectfully and cautiously due to his old age and suspected arthritis. Marley talks a lot with his unique squeaks, and can even be playful from time to time. He is up to date on vaccinations, neutered, and ready for his furever home! ADOPTED 🎉 Will you be Zero’s “way out”? Zero is 1.5 years old and has been here since October. He is the sweetest boy with a gentle soul. All he wants is someone to love! We haven’t seen much interest in toys, but that could very well change. For now, in his current environment, all he craves is human affection. Our staff does the best we can to make our residents feel loved, but the little interaction we can provide is only a taste of what they could have in their forever homes!
