Ophelia has a lot to be thankful for today- adoption! 🎉 She went home yesterday to begin her new life with the sweetest cat parents and a new companion- Kove 🐱. We are so happy for Ophelia, and we want to wish all of our adopters a Happy Thanksgiving! 🐾❤️ We are so grateful for you!

Luna, Cabbage, and Pancho all three found themselves here for the same reason- they bit. And no matter how much work we’ve done with them to learn and grow and trust, it doesn’t change what happened. We want to transfer them elsewhere, but finding rescues who will accept dogs with a bite history is a nearly impossible task. Of course, we will continue trying and researching, but their best bet is finding an adopter who can look past their past and give them a future. They deserve a second chance, but sadly they are running out of time.

🥬Cabbage: 1yo. Neutered male lab mix
Tricks: Come, sit, let’s go (loose heel), kennel, free, off
Cabbage is very food motivated and loves to train. He has recently graduated from slip lead to prong collar and is responding well to it. When he’s not training, Cabbage loves to run and play! He doesn’t seek out affection too often from those he trusts, but when he does he very much appreciates a tummy rub. Cabbage is independent, a little kooky, fun- loving, and cautious. He will need someone who will take things slow and focus on building a bond first and foremost. Pets and cuddles can wait until a relationship has been established.

🪇Pancho: 5 yo. Neutered male German Shepherd
Tricks: Sit, come, heel

Pancho’s morale has improved a ton since he has begun obedience training! We are so impressed with how quickly he picks up on things, and he’s responsive enough to leash pressure that a prong has not been needed. This guy is chill, smart, and loving. Once he’s been given the patience and opportunity to move at his own pace, he’ll lean his body into your legs- this is how dogs show affection and trust. Pancho needs a family who will make him feel safe and secure. Let him know with your actions and your energy that he doesn’t need to react and protect, his humans have everything under control.

🌙Luna: 4 yo. Spayed Female Husky
Tricks: Sit, down, paw, roll over, be shy

Luna brings the music, the energy, and the love. She howls and sings just like you’d expect, prefers to RUN rather than walk with her humans, and will offer her tummy to anyone willing to give her scritches. When she’s in a grumpy mood, a leash and a walk is the only thing to bring her out of her funk. She adores her outdoor time! Luna loves making new friends, but her humans need to know that despite her advances, it is best to be reserved with your affection rather than too much. Trust us, she will be okay, and it’s for the best!

All three of these dogs need structure, patience, and leadership in their new homes to keep problem behaviors from resurfacing. Daily exercise, mental stimulation, kennel time, hand feedings, and training will keep the dogs balanced and thriving in their homes. This little guy was found yesterday in the road at HWY 3 & M44. Intact male, no collar, incredibly skittish. The BV Sheriffs department came out and knocked on some doors in the area but he wasn’t recognized.

Do you guys remember Baby? 👶🏻 He was the tiny little kitten wrapped in a blanket that we posted on October 2nd asking for more milk replacer. 🍼 Well… he’s all grown up and on his way to his forever home! 🎉 His long whiskers and wispy fur were just irresistible to his new mom, and now Baby is off to his new life where he will be spoiled and loved. 🩵 Thank you!

ADOPTABLE 🩷
Brothers Angel and Spike have been labeled our “scaredy cats” at the moment. 🫣 They’re still figuring out the world and trying to make sense of what is safe and who to trust. 🤲🏻 We have discovered the purrfect cat to get them out of their shells though- Mira! 🐢 They had an instant connection, and because of Mira, we get to see Angel and Spike’s personalities come out more and more. 😺 It is safe to say that both of them will need to be adopted into a home with a friendly cat who can show them the way and help them blossom into the playful and curious kittens that they truly are deep down! 🧶🤎

Callie, by no fault of her own, is looking for a new home! She is a sweet, adorable, older (10 year?) tabby/calico looking for a cozy lap to warm your winter days. Callie would do best in a quiet home with older residents, not a busy home with children. Callie is strictly an indoor cat who does well with a litter box. Her favorite thing is to curl up and purr in your lap. She has a motor that starts purring the moment you pet her, which warms the heart. Callie is known for following the sunshine and basking in its warmth.

She loves feasting on Meow Mix Tender Centers and a spoonful of Fancy Feast Beef a couple times a day. A cold bowl of water is a favorite of hers. She would be a great addition for a someone looking for a chill lap cat.

We see strictly small animals (but this includes some pretty HUGE dogs & cats :o) We feel we can give you the best care, or we wouldn’t have lasted this long!
