The Stoughton Animal Control Officer is available to respond to animal complaints, enforce local animal control ordinances and state laws pertaining to animal care.
Well, it’s been 7 days and no one has come for this good boy. He will be available for adoption through Animal Protection Center of Southeastern Massachusetts !!! If interested, please fill out one of their online applications, and check out all the other sweet pups that need homes !!

Found on Joyce Dr, this past Friday evening 6/7, with a prong collar and leash attached.
The kicker is, he is microchipped…. But the phone number was incorrect, and I’m not getting a response via email.

It is ILLEGAL for me to relocate healthy wildlife that have made their way into your attic, sheds etc. Please contact a licensed wildlife company for assistance with these concerns. ( I will list some resources)
Small deceased wildlife on your property is the homeowners responsibility to remove ( unless a cat or dog )
Snappers are laying eggs right now !! Please leave them be and let them do their thing ! They will be gone before you know it and we should not interfere!

This poor boy was just found in a backyard on Phillips Avenue. He is unable to walk and I am transporting him to New England animal Medical Center in West Bridgewater. If this is your cat or if anyone has any info on him, please call the police department at 781-344-2424. I will have to make some medical decisions, for the best interest as he is clearly suffering.

This cat was found very sick & injured in the backyard of a home on Seaver St. She is at NEAMC right now getting an eval. If you recognize this cat please call 781-344-2424, as I will have to make decisions for this poor girl very soon.

This post is in regards to the swan that is deceased on Greenwood Drive. I completely understand why everyone is upset, and I did respond today and saw the swan. Unfortunately, I do not have a boat or didn’t have anything to go out and remove the swan. As most of you know I am the ONLY ACO in town. And I am in peak season. I did return calls on the swan issue, but not all of them as I was extremely busy today. I addressed the issue the best I could. The man I spoke with today wanted me to use a piece of wood from the construction site to shimmy over the water to the deceased swan, which was not safe for me and would risk injury. And I can not be trespassing on someone’s property without their permission unless there are exigent circumstances.
Which this is not. As well as being in PEAK season along with having a full shelter of 4 dogs, 4 cats and 6 ferrets, I am conducting inspections and addressing urgent matters. If someone has a boat I will gladly go out and get her. And as I told the person I spoke to today, once the workers are on site I will go back to speak to them. I will continue to serve the town with compassion and the best of my ability like I have for the past 3 years ☺️ !!
