Congratulations to Kaylee, who is now Teddy’s new mom! She and her mom made an incredible 15+ hour drive from Wyoming to bring this big, sweet boy home. Teddy is eager to be part of his new family and will be joining Kaylee as she finishes college in the breathtaking, snow-covered mountains of Montana.
To help set Kaylee and Teddy up for success, we spent the day working together hands-on. We went over Teddy’s ongoing training plan so Kaylee feels confident continuing his education and guiding him into a well-mannered, happy companion. We worked outside on heeling and everyday manners, then moved indoors to focus on grooming. One of Kaylee’s goals as a Goldendoodle owner is to groom Teddy herself, so we turned the afternoon into a grooming session. I saved Halli’s groom for today so we could work through it together step by step. Kaylee thougthfully took detailed notes and photos, and asked great questions. Watching her excitement and confidence grow was awesome as she is looking forward to building her grooming skills and creativity (I expect Teddy will be rocking a blue mohawk this fall!). And as a fun bonus, Kaylee is left-handed, so for the first time ever, all of my equipment was set up specifically for her!
I am so proud of Kaylee as she steps into this next chapter of her life with Teddy by her side. This is the beginning of a meaningful journey, and I’m excited for everything ahead of them both.
Supporting my clients doesn’t end at pickup day. Every family and every dog has unique goals, and I believe it’s important to meet people where they are and walk alongside them as they grow together. This is what ethical breeding looks like. Whether it’s training, grooming, or simply navigating life with a dog, I’m always here as a resource and a helping hand. Seeing my clients feel confident and supported, while watching their dogs thrive, is what truly matters to me, and I’m honored to be part of that journey.
