Stover Animal Rescue is a small rural 501(c)3 non-profit No-Kill animal rescue located in Stover, Missouri. We are completely staffed by volunteers who operate our facility solely on donated funds raised by our thrift store, adoptions, private donations, and sponsorships. Our organization was founded by lifelong animal advocate Carol Sue Weigel in 2005. Stover Animal Rescue takes in abused, abando

ned, and stray cats and dogs as we have space and the resources to care for them. We rehabilitate them and then try to find them the best match for a forever home. We also work with other licensed rescues and animal advocates to network animals to areas where they will have a higher potential for a great adoption. As a No-Kill shelter, animals are only euthanized if a qualified veterinarian determines that a mental or physical illness makes a reasonable quality of life impossible.

Our Meow Monday is Gypsy!!! Gypsy is the last of her litter to be adopted although I am not sure why. She is one of the sweetest kittens. She loves to play with the Willis or any of the other kittens. Gypsy is spayed and UTD on vaccines. But she is also a snuggler, if you are looking for a buddy for the holidays or the long winter months you can find an application for Gypsy on our website at Stoveranimalrescue.com

Did you know that Stover Animal Rescue offers a food pantry the last Saturday of every month?? In order to qualify for the food pantry the dogs and cats must be spayed and neutered!!!

However this month we are short 200lbs of cat food to help the families in need!! If you are able to donate dry cat food (Special Kitty or Kibbles and Bits)to assist with the food pantry, donations can be dropped off at the green shed behind the thrift store. You can also make a donation online at stoveranimalrescue.com note food pantry.

Out Woof Wednesday is Willow!!Willow loves to play in the play yard with her son Roscoe. She is so sweet and calm. She enjoys going on walks or hiking. She does well on a leash. She is fixed and UTD on vaccines. Willow has been at the shelter for almost two years at no fault of her own.
