At Green Mountain Hoppers, we are a small rabbitry based in CT! We are in love with the French Angora breed, and are looking to spread the love to others! We pride ourselves in the sense of community that we developed with our friends in San Diego and our lines and beginnings are from there, but we’ve established a wonderful little show and friend circle in New England now as well! We breed for show and beautiful spinning wool. Our buns are family and are handled, loved, and adored from birth. �

Well, sometimes Mother Nature just doesn’t work with you. A few of our breedings didn’t take, so we will be trying again. As of right now we just have the one litter. Updates on that one will come soon ☺️ hopefully next month we will have more babies 🤞🏻

First babies of the year! GMH Garo (REW, sired by Poe) x GMH Froth (pearl).

3 fat babies for a first time Mom. Hopefully more litters coming soon 🤞🏻 These will either be REW or pearls, time will tell. ☺️

We are expecting a few different litters between the 28th-2nd.

Possible colors are brokens (blacks, chocolates, fawns), REW, chinchilla, fawn, sable (maybe), PW (maybe), and solids (black, chocolate, [blue & lilac maaaybe]).

There is a chance one of the litters didn’t take, but give us a like and follow if you haven’t already for updates! We will be posting litters as they are born ☺️

Available. Probably one of my most balanced bodied bucks of this age. Nice shoulders, great peak, good fill in loin/hindquarter for this age. Coat a bit softer and not as dense as some of the others, but still has good texture to it and easy to care for. Sweet buck but not super into posing 😂 he will get there. PM if interested so I don’t keep this one too 🙃

Available to an approved wool home or someone who knows how to work with these genetics (he specifically is not showable, but he can produce very nice offspring IF paired correctly). He is a VERY nice buck. Touch long in the shoulder, but deep bodied, nice peak, nice hindquarter. Softer coat texture right now but still very easy care. Really quite like this dude and will hold onto him if he’s not picked up. Please PM me if interested.

Available. Nice shoulder, peak, and hind quarter. Needs more fill, but good for this age. Coat a touch softer than I prefer, but it’s a bit more of that traditional soft baby coat. Does have nice texture coming in and would expect next coat to be correct. Another very sweet buck. PM me if interested ☺️

Available. A touch longer in the shoulder but not terribly so, peaks well, decent fill throughout for this age and pairing (lots of slower maturing animals). Coat a touch softer than I prefer, but still nicely balanced and really nice crimp. Definitely stronger in the crimp department than some of my others. Nice face, but ears longer than I prefer. Very sweet little dude. PM me if interested :)

Available… a little long in the shoulder, but beautiful little doe already. Offspring out of this pairing have been slower to grow and mature in the past, so I expect similar for her. Babies have officially reached 10 weeks of age, so I will be going through them in the next week to see who will be available and who’s being held back. I will have bucks and does available, in a small variety of colors. Possiblilities are broken black or broken blue, blue, REW, chestnut or blue tort. There is also a possibility I will be putting some established, proven adults up for sale if I decide to hold back any young permanently. Keep your eyes 👀 peeled. Thanks for all your patience 🙏🏻

That’s all the babies I’m posting for now! I have a couple others, but they are either too young or aren’t in coat enough to make it worth it for me to post them yet.

Please note that these are nearly 8 weeks old. I hold at absolute minimum til 10 weeks unless you’ve previously gotten rabbits from me. I prefer to hold them to 12 personally, and may do that as well depending on the development of the group I’m working with. Please be patient with me 🙏🏻

My angoras really start to blossom around that 12 week mark, sometimes sooner sometimes later. I do not shove them out the door at 8 weeks and consider that a great disservice to them. I really do my absolute best to match rabbits with the homes they are going to, and the extra time is vital for me to make a good fit. Trust me and you’ll wind up with a very lovely rabbit! 🙂

That being said, if you see something you like, let me know! And let me know what your plans are, what you are looking for in terms of show, breeding, wool, etc, and I will keep my eye out to see if what I have matches your needs and expectations. Thanks for your interest and support so far 🙂 🐇
