Visiting the park this Thursday with your pup? Drop by between 3 and 5 PM for a glass of lemonade, water or soda and baked goodies, chips or candy from Grady's Lemonade Stand! All proceeds benefit the CMAK Foundation, which provides athletic camps and preschool scholarships to communities in Connecticut and nationwide, in honor of Chase Kowalski - one of the first grade victims of Sandy Hook.
Grady is a local 11-year-old competing in the YMCA's Race for Chase kids' triathlon to benefit CMAK on Aug. 3. Participants train at the Stratford Y every day for six weeks free of charge before the event, which brings together kids from YMCA branches all over Connecticut in Southington. This is his fifth year, and each year he has held his lemonade stand to raise additional money for the CMAK Foundation, receiving a personal thank you note for the last two years from Chase's mom and dad in Newtown.
We are happy to be hosting him at the park on Jul 25 from 3 - 5 PM, and hope you'll come by with a little spare cash to put towards a worthy cause while enjoying some lemonade and goodies ...including homemade treats for your pups! Everything is $1 - $2.

Join us Saturday morning, June 15, for "Bark-fast" with your dog - a Jared's Dog Park open house from 10 AM - 12 noon! We'll have complimentary coffee, donuts and baked goodies for you and treats for the pups...and we hope you'll come out and meet other members of JDP and visitors to the park and their dogs. Take this opportunity to "network" with other members and hook up your dogs for playdates at the park so that you can be sure they'll have a friend to play with when you visit.
We hope to host events like this one periodically through the summer and fall if this first meet and greet is a success!
