Apparently our website is having a little trouble handling the sheer amount of cuteness that's trying to upload to it... so if you've been wondering who all dogs are that are available for adoption this morning, here are some of them 😍

Learn more about our available animals: nhspca.org/adoptable-animals/

Our Adoption Center will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. today and closed Wednesday and Thursday. We're located at 104 Portsmouth Avenue in Stratham, NH. We'd love for you to come by and see if your missing piece is here waiting in one of our kennels or paddocks ♥️

GUESS WHAT⁉️ Spike and Roger asked if their adoption fees could be waived, too... and how in the world are we supposed to say no to these faces?! 😍

There's no doubt in our minds that Spike and Roger will provide their families with a ridiculous amount of love and joy... because, well, that's exactly what they've done with our team. While both of these boys are super endearing and easy to love, they do have some medical waivers that have likely deterred families from scooping them up.

To help make their dreams of home come true, we're grateful for the ability to waive their adoption fees for the right families ♥️

SPIKE: If you've ever had the privilege of playing tug with Spike, you've likely been like, "Wait, this guy is almost 11 years old?" We're pretty confused, too. While his adorable face suggests he's an older gentleman, he's got a ton of pep in his step and is always—and we mean ALWAYS—down for some fun. Spike has chronic kidney disease, which is managed with a prescription diet. We understand prescription food can be more expensive than regular dog food, so we are prepared to send Spike home with more than 140 meals.

ROGER: If you're looking for a sensitive boy who's in tune with how you're feeling, Roger could be your guy. At 7 years old and 34 pounds, this guy leads with his heart and really appreciates calm environments and quiet moments. This little guy has an autoimmune disease called Masticatory Myositis. It first caused the muscles he uses to chew to become swollen and sore. Over time, those muscles have shrunk and become thinner. The sunken areas on Roger’s head show that he has been dealing with this condition for a while. He will need a family that's comfortable with frequent vet checks to monitor his progress and response to treatment.

Our Adoption Center will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. tomorrow (Tuesday) and closed Wednesday and Thursday. We're located at 104 Portsmouth Avenue in Stratham, NH. Spike and Roger hope to see you tomorrow! ♥️

LET'S DO IT AGAIN‼️ We had big news about Bruce over the weekend and guess what?! We're just getting started! 👇

Two days ago, we shared that an anonymous donor pledged to cover Bruce's upcoming dental, which removed an obstacle that had been standing between that lovable smush and his second chance. The very next morning, Bruce didn't wake up in a kennel; he woke up in the comfort of his new home with his loving family. 🥹

After seeing how one act of generosity transformed Bruce’s future, a kindhearted volunteer offered to extend that same gift to Libby: a sweet-as-pie senior who’s also been overlooked because she will need a dental in the coming months!

Oh, and did we mention that in an effort to get her home, we're happy to waive her adoption fee, too?!

At 9 years old and 66 pounds, Libby is a soul connection kind of girl. She’s gentle, affectionate, and enjoys nothing more than quiet moments with her people. Whether you want to spend the day curled up on the couch with a cup of coffee or out on the trail for some fresh air, Libby would do anything to be by your side. She has a very steady presence in a busy world and is the kind of dog that will remind you to slow down and enjoy every moment—oh, and to give her a belly rub while you’re at it. 😉

Libby came to us after a difficult experience with another dog and is now understandably a bit more selective about her canine friends. If her future family already has a dog, we’d be happy to facilitate an intro here at the shelter to make sure everyone feels comfortable and happy together before sending her home.

Dental procedures can be an intimidating hurdle for families, and that’s exactly why this generous gift from one of Libby’s best friends matters so much. One more barrier lifted. One more life changed. 💜

You helped Bruce find his people.
You proved what this community can do.
Now it’s Libby’s turn. Will you help us get her home for the holidays? 🙏

Our Adoption Center will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. tomorrow (Tuesday) and closed Wednesday and Thursday. We're located at 104 Portsmouth Avenue in Stratham, NH. Libby hopes to see you soon! ♥️

2025 is rapidly coming to a close. For us here at the NHSPCA, this year had its share of challenges and uplifting moments, and next year will too. Homeless animals don't have calendars; their needs don't stop for the holidays, and neither does our mission. The only way this is possible is through the tremendous support of animal lovers and donors. That’s why we’re especially grateful right now. A fellow animal lover, Dr. Peter Gray, is generously providing a $50,000 donation match in loving memory of his beloved wife, Ellen. Your donation will be doubled and will have a direct impact on the animals here...animals like Holly. Holly is a 26-year-old Newfoundland Pony - one of only a few hundred left in the world. This rare heritage draft breed is known for its friendly nature, adaptability, and unmistakable charm, and Holly embodies all of that and more. Holly is a sweet, affectionate black mare who loves spending time with people, especially kids. Please give today and help Holly and all those here waiting for their forever homes. (UPDATE: ADOPTED! 🥳🤩😎♥️) BUCKLE UP, BABY: We've got BIG NEWS about our BIG GUY, BRUCE‼️

If you've been following us for a little bit, there's a real good chance you've seen this silly face a few times. Bruce, 7, has been with us for more than 50 days with little interest... which is simply mind blowing given how lovely of a dog he is. He's literally 82 pounds of sweetness.

An incredibly kindhearted donor has been following Bruce’s journey and knows firsthand just how special he is. Knowing how much his buddy has been longing for a family of his own, this donor has generously pledged to cover the cost of Bruce’s dental, which he will need in the near future after adoption.

This procedure is costly and has likely been discouraging potential families. Bruce's friend hopes that by lifting this burden, there will be one less obstacle standing between him and the loving home he so deserves. ♥️

Bruce has experience with dogs (all the female dogs at the shelter swoooooon over him), cats and humans of all ages. He's kind of a unicorn in that way, but once you get to know him one-on-one, it makes perfect sense. As big as his head is (and it's pretty dang big), this guy has an even bigger heart. He's gentle, he's loving, and he just wants everyone to be happy.

We could sit here and tell you all the wonderful things about this big guy, but there's a real good chance it might come off as "too good to be true." We'd love for you to come by and see how special he is for yourself.

Our Adoption Center will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. through the weekend and we've got a big guy here who would give anything for the opportunity to meet you. See you soon! ♥️

You know that Sam Elliott kind of presence? Calm. Kind. A little reserved until he knows you mean well.

That’s Toby.

Toby is 11 and here through no fault of his own; his longtime owner passed away, and a family member tried their best to keep him, but it didn’t work out. Now he’s in our care, spending a lot of time tucked into the safety of his cat tree.

But here’s the real Toby: if you approach slowly and offer a hand, he’ll lean out for a headbutt, soak up gentle pets, and purr loudly the whole time. His previous family says he’s very affectionate and loves being close to people.

Toby doesn’t need chaos (who does?), he needs comfort, patience, and someone to be his person again. Could it be you?

Our Adoption Center will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily through next Tuesday, and we are located at 104 Portsmouth Avenue in Stratham, NH.

Toby hopes to see you soon!

Ever ask yourself, "How did I get here?"...probably how little Nixie felt while hiding in a tractor, trying to stay out of the cold. Luckily, she found herself here at the NHSPCA thanks to the kindness of strangers. We see this all the time, and every animal that comes through our doors in search of a forever home needs food, shelter, a warm bed, and veterinary care. The only way this is possible is through the tremendous support of animal lovers and donors. That’s why we’re especially grateful right now. A fellow animal lover, Dr. Peter Gray, is generously providing a $50,000 donation match in loving memory of his beloved wife, Ellen.

Your support already changes lives, and today, it’s doubled, and Nixie says "thank you!" Click the link today to make a difference!
