‼️More than 25 dogs and puppies currently available for adoption at the New Hampshire SPCA‼️

March means new beginnings... for you and them 🥰 Spring is in the air, and fresh starts are everywhere. We might be a little biased, but our favorite place to find them is at the New Hampshire SPCA!

As the world wakes up from winter, we have more than 25 adorable pups who are ready to wake up in their new homes! This album includes just a few of them. No matter what you're looking for in your new best friend, it's possible we have the perfect match waiting right here for you.

Why not start your season with unconditional love, a wagging tail and a few muddy pawprints? The love of a dog is like no other... and we can attest that this group has plennnnnnty of love to give.

Our Adoption Center is open from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. every day except Wednesdays (closed) and we're located at 104 Portsmouth Avenue in Stratham, NH. We hope you'll stop by over the next few days to find your new best friend! ♥️

Looking for an unforgettable spring adventure for your child? If they love animals and getting their hands dirty, Farm Squad Camp at the New Hampshire SPCA is the perfect opportunity for them! This unique, hands-on experience is filled with fun, learning, and plenty of farmyard excitement! 🐴🐔🐷

We are pleased to offer three two-day sessions of Farm Squad Camp for children ages 9-12. Space is limited and this is a popular program, so don't delay registering your child today: nhspca.org/farm-camp/

ABOUT FARM SQUAD CAMP: Get ready for an unforgettable two-day adventure filled with animals, hands-on farm fun, and creative crafts! Our Farm Squad campers will roll up their sleeves and dive into daily farm chores, learning how to handle shovels, rakes, and wheelbarrows like pros. They’ll muck stalls, feed the animals, and discover the ins and outs of equine and farm animal care—including grooming, nutrition, and even first aid!

But that’s not all! Campers might get their hands dirty planting seeds in our Children’s Garden, explore sustainable farming practices, and learn about poultry care. And to top it off, they may even whip up some delicious farm-fresh treats! This hands-on experience is perfect for animal lovers and future farmers alike—join us for two days of learning, laughter, and farmyard fun!

We hope to see your Camper in April! ♥️

We are unfortunately still experiencing delays with our website and we want to apologize for the inconvenience this has caused—for potential adopters, training clients, parents trying to register their kiddos for camp, community service users... everyone! We are hopeful to be back up and running in the next few days. We hope you'll hang in there with us.

Although our website isn't functioning at its normal capacity, we still have a Dog Pavilion filled with pups just waiting for the chance to win you over. 🥰 We know it can be easy to fall in love with a dog you see online, but it's even easier in person... and you never know who you will connect with until you meet them! This album includes some of our available dogs... and we've included their bios in their captions since, well, you probably can't see them on our website. 😅 We hope you'll come by this weekend and meet them and all the others who are waiting to go home. ♥️

Not a dog person? No worries! We also have cats, smalls, horses and farm animals!

Our Adoption Center will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. both days this weekend and we're located at 104 Portsmouth Avenue in Stratham, NH. See you soon!

Kick off your weekend with an adorable kitten update!

Back in July, little Doritos Loco Taco—part of an unplanned litter—found her happily ever after with a loving family. Now known as Lucipurr, she’s thriving in her new home, and we couldn’t wait to share these sweet photos along with an update from her adopters!

“Since taking her home in July, Doritos Loco Taco got renamed Lucipurr, but we usually just call her Luci. She loves to cuddle up with us, give kisses, and even sleeps next to—or on top of—us. The best thing about Luci has been how much she has seen our now 16-month-old daughter as a kitten as well. It's been great! She is very mischievous—she’ll get into anything and everything when possible, right down to knocking over her water, eating through a bag of treats, and even trying to knock over her cat tower when she’s zooming from one side of the living room to the other!”

Please note, we are still experiencing delays with our website. We appreciate your patience, and encourage you to come by this weekend to meet our available animals! ❤

If you’ve ever dreamed of watching a truly unique, stunning horse frolic in your pasture... our good friend Zoey is ready to make that dream come true! 🥰

This flashy 21-year-old leopard Appaloosa mare has done it all—western pleasure, trail riding, and even equine-assisted therapy. At this stage in her life, Zoey is looking for a home where she can enjoy life at a slower pace. While her riding days should be limited due to arthritis, she’s still sound on daily Equioxx and LOVES to stretch her legs with a joyful gallop. She's also showing some evidence of visual deficits from uveitis, so she wears a mask to protect her eyes... but don't worry, it doesn't slow her down one bit!

Zoey enjoys being around children—especially if they take the time to groom her. We believe she could even give gentle leadline pony rides.

If you have a soft spot for a sweet, spirited mare who will bring beauty and joy to your barn, Zoey is waiting to meet you! If you have specific questions about this girl, please email us at [email protected] or stop by to visit her. Farm animals can be seen any day from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at 104 Portsmouth Avenue in Stratham, NH. 🤍🖤

Can you help? 🙏 First of all, we are incredibly grateful to have a large volume of animals safe in our care right now. We want to apologize since all the traffic to view our adoptable animals has caused delays for some folks. We're working to alleviate the issue... but in the meantime, we have a Dog Pavilion filled to the brim with puppies and dogs who would love the opportunity to meet you in person. We hope you'll come by.

While you visit, would you be able to help us restock our linens shelf? With so many animals in our care, we're flying through towels and blankets! These items are so important, as they help us provide comfort to homeless animals like Cody, pictured here. Our largest need is towels (all sizes), followed by blankets. Please no pillowcases, fitted sheets, or blankets with embellishments.

If you'd be so kind to check your closets before coming by over the next few days, we'd be really appreciative. Donations can be dropped off outside our garage door in our donation bin. Can't make it over but still want to help the animals? Here's our current Wish List: tinyurl.com/3zjnyxxy

We are located at 104 Portsmouth Avenue in Stratham, NH. Donations can be dropped off any day from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Our Adoption Center is open from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. every day except Wednesdays (closed).

As always, thank you for your support (and patience). We hope to see you soon! ♥️

Meet Asher, Julian, Frankfurt, and their newest friend, Chef Boyardee (bottom)!

Chef was surrendered after struggling to get along with his previous roommate, and since rats are highly social creatures who thrive in groups, we introduced him to the trio of brothers. It was friendship at first sniff! The brothers immediately welcomed him, and they’ve been happily living together ever since.

These four love spending time together, are easy to handle and especially enjoy being hand-fed tasty treats. If you're looking for a social, affectionate group of rats to join your family, come meet them today!

Not a rat person? That’s okay! We have a variety of animals, both big and small, currently available for adoption. Visit our adoption center through this weekend between 11 AM and 4 PM to find your perfect match!

This morning, we kicked off our third session of Future Vet Camp! Yesterday, our second-session campers were busy exploring the different types of syringes our veterinarians use... learning how they help administer medications, vaccines, and fluids to keep animals healthy. Through hands-on activities and expert guidance, they’re gaining valuable knowledge about the incredible world of veterinary medicine. We love to see it! 🩺

When you send your child to camp at the New Hampshire SPCA, you’re providing them with an unforgettable experience that combines fun, learning, and compassion for animals. Regardless of which camp they attend, our campers get hands-on opportunities to interact with a variety of animals—from dogs and cats to rabbits and guinea pigs… and oftentimes, even our horses and farm animals!

Through engaging activities, campers learn about responsible pet care, animal behavior, and the importance of kindness toward all living beings. These experiences not only deepen their love for animals but also help them develop a sense of responsibility and empathy that lasts a lifetime. 🩷

If this sounds like something your child would enjoy, we'd love for you to check out our Summer Camp! Instead of spending hours on screens during the warmer months ahead, your child could be here with us, learning from our certified, friendly educators about all things animals… forming meaningful connections with both animals and fellow campers alike.

Ever thought, “You know what’s missing in my life? A goat.” Well, we happen to know a guy.

This handsome fella with the goatee is David, and he’s looking for his forever farm! He loves classic goattivities like munching hay, headbutting the fence, climbing obstacles, and being nosey.

David can be a bit much around the ladies, so he’d prefer a bachelor pad where he can just hang with his bros. He arrived underweight, so we’ve been making sure he gets plenty of good food and snacks. His adopter will need to continue helping him reach and maintain a healthy weight.

If you’ve got the perfect spot for this adventurous, hay-loving dude, he’d love to meet you!

For more information please email our farm team at [email protected].

MEET POPEYE (ADOPTED ✅): Oh hey there, future best friend! 👋 My name’s Popeye, and I’m a one-year-old, 68-pound bundle of love, wiggles, and pure goofball energy. Let me tell ya—I LOVE people. Like... really, really love them. If you’ve got hands for petting and a pocket full of snacks, we’re basically soulmates. I’m also a big fan of other dogs, especially silly lady pups like my friend Julia 😍, who's also available for adoption. I’m a smart boy who will always do my best to make you proud. Learning new things is fun, but making my humans happy? Even better! So, what do you say? Wanna be my new best bud? Come meet me—I promise lots of love, laughs, and tail wags!

Monday blues got you down? Don’t panic—we have a foolproof plan to turn that frown upside down and lucky for you, it's just two steps!

Step 1: Adopt a dog. 🐕
Step 2: Never have a bad Monday again. 🕺

Seriously, have you ever heard a dog complain about Mondays? Nooooope. They wake up every day like it’s the best day ever... and with one of these adoptable cuties by your side, you will totally start feeling the same way!

Well... maybe. 😅 We're aware that we literally just said this is "a foolproof plan," but we really can't guarantee the results. We do know from experience, though, that Mondays are a whoooooole lot more enjoyable when you've got a pup who looks at you as though you're their entire world. ♥️

We have a Dog Pavilion filled with dogs—including these nine who were just made available today—waiting for their chance to make all your Mondays to come a little bit better. Our Adoption Center is open from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. every day except Wednesdays (closed) and we're located at 104 Portsmouth Avenue in Stratham, NH. We'd love to see you soon!

This truly is the type of comfort we dream of for all of our animals 🥹

"When we came in yesterday, we were just planning to look at all of the kitties. Honolulu was sound asleep in her bed while other families were looking at her, and when my boyfriend and I went into the room and started looking at her through her glass door, she immediately woke up. When we opened the door, she came right over to us and started purring and nudging our hands, and even showed us her belly! From there, we knew she was the one for us and immediately fell in love! Lulu is adjusting so well to her forever home. She has such a big personality already but she sure does love her cuddles! She is such a sweet, loving little baby and we are so excited to welcome her into our home and give her all of the love. Thank you guys for making this possible!"

Although all the kittens we posted about on Wednesday were quickly adopted, we do have a variety of adult cats available for adoption! We'd love for you to stop by and meet our feline friends this weekend. Our Adoption Center will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. both days and we're located at 104 Portsmouth Avenue in Stratham, NH! ♥️
