3 Fun fact about white tail deer below.

1. (Signature Tail)The name "white-tailed" comes from the white underside of their tails, which they flash when alarmed to warn other deer of potential danger.

2. (Antler Growth) Only male white-tailed deer, called bucks, grow antlers, which they shed and regrow each year. Antlers can grow up to 1/2 inch per day during peak growth!

3. (Swimming ) White-tailed deer are strong swimmers and can cross rivers and lakes to escape predators or move between habitats.

Ranger Ridge Water Tower Construction Progress

Exciting news from Ranger Ridge! The water tower construction is moving forward smoothly, with significant progress made since the last update. As you can see from the recent photo, the tower structure is almost complete, standing tall against the beautiful landscape.

A crane is actively assisting with the final phases of construction, and workers are making headway on essential installations. This tower will be a addition to the community, ensuring reliable water supply for future developments in the area.

As we reflect on the unforgettable weekend spent together at Ranger Ridge we are full of gratitude. This past weekend was nothing short of magical, and it was all made possible because of your enthusiasm, support, and participation.

With over 100 guests in attendance, we embarked on an adventure that included breathtaking aerial tours of the ranch via helicopter, exhilarating rides on Can-Ams and Toyota Land Cruisers, plus excellent dove hunting around our sunflower fields. The thrill of horseback riding, the tranquility of fishing, the discovery on safari tours, and the camaraderie at the shooting range - every moment was a thread in the tapestry of memories we created together.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Mels Diner Mingus for their exceptional catering services. Our partnership with the The Hershenberg Group and Progressive Powersports continues to be a cornerstone of our events. And of course, the weekend wouldn't have been the same without the refreshing draught beer provided by Palo Pinto Brweing co, adding to the festivity and spirit of this event.

✨Ranger Ridge Dove Hunt 2024! ✨

This weekend, we kicked off our 1st Annual Ranger Ridge Owner/Member Dove Hunt and it was nothing short of spectacular! We're overjoyed to say that the event was a resounding success, bringing together multiple families to share in the excitement and beauty of Ranger Ridge.

The weekend was packed with adventure and activities for everyone:

- Dove Hunting was the main event, where both novices and experienced hunters enjoyed the thrill of the hunt.
- Clay Shooting helped perfect our aim whilst having a blast!
- Horse riding, the kids enjoyed a fabulous time in the saddle.

Introducing our newest exotic animal to Ranger Ridge Ranch the water buffalo!!

Here are 3 fun facts about water buffalo.

1. Two Main Types: Water buffalo are divided into two main types: the river buffalo and the swamp buffalo. River buffalo are found mainly in India and Southeast Asia, while swamp buffalo are common in China and Southeast Asia. The two types have different physical characteristics and are used for different purposes, such as dairy production and plowing.

2.Impressive Strength: Water buffalo are incredibly strong and can pull loads that weigh more than a ton. This makes them essential for heavy labor in agricultural and rural communities.

3. Milk Producers: Water buffalo milk is richer in fat and protein than cow’s milk, making it ideal for producing dairy products like mozzarella cheese. In fact, authentic buffalo mozzarella comes specifically from the milk of the river buffalo.

Here at Ranger Ridge we have a one of a kind Père David's deer, also known as the milu or elaphure, it’s s a species of deer that is native to China. It has unique characteristics that distinguish it from other deer species, including long, slender legs, a broad tail, and antlers that extend backward and then forward in a unique shape.

History
Père David's deer is named after the French missionary Armand David, who first described the species in the 19th century. The species faced severe habitat loss and hunting pressure, leading to its near extinction in the wild.
However, a few individuals were saved and bred in captivity, leading to successful reintroduction effort.
