The puppy exchange took place this past weekend. Westwind Llewellin Setters met Pride Llewellin Kennels half way. These three, 8 week old, female pups are headed to their new homes. We're very happy for these pups, their new owners are hunters and compete in field trials.

Mike's Westwind Kylee - Pride's Dashing Nash Bandit
Nicky placed 3rd last weekend in the Open Derby Horseback Trial held by the Mason Dixon German Shorthair Pointer Club in Wellsville, PA. She had six finds with an outstanding run. Proud of this girl, she has placed four times in her last four AKC derby trials, proven consistency. She improves with each trial.
Thanks to the Club and Judges for hosting this event also a Special Thanks to Ken and Nancy Huyser for lending me their horse. Greatly appreciated. Westwind Llewellin Setters

Mike's Westwind Nicky had another good weekend, placing third in the Amateur Walking Derby held by the English Setter Club of America. Thanks to the ESCOA and all the judges for handling this event.

Meet Nicky, the one we decided to keep out of Kylee's first litter. She's pointing one of our chickens and showing some great hunting and field trial potential at 6 months. Looking forward to future breeding. Next time will be with Cindy, Kylee's sister.
