She was hanging out in Henryville along paradise trail area, Pocono township for a couple days and was too scared to go to anybody.
She will be scanned for a chip tomorrow, she is safe with finder.
Proof of ownership is required.
Our shelters are full, but will be contacted also in case somebody happened to call there looking.
Juno from Stroudsburg, trapped, safe and reunited....
This could be a very long story but we are going to make it short and sweet...... she was never in Henryville.... a tipster decided they didn't want us to know where she was 🙄 we will give that an eye roll only although it caused us lots of wasted time, and a wild goose chase.
Anyway she is now safe and home with her loving family!
This is our second Juno we trapped, the first one was in October, she was dumped in a development and is still waiting for a home, many people ask if they can donate and we usually say no because we can't take every case, we can't spend 24 hours trapping dogs, but in this case if anybody would like to make a donation we are asking to donate to A.W.S.O.M. for our first Juno, maybe sponsor her adoption fee or get her some extra toys and chews or better yet just go adopt her 😀
We will share her pics in comments, so many people helped us with this Juno, especially our awsom family. The entire crew helped, we had board members helping us carry traps, employees telling us we can set up anywhere over there since she was so close, volunteers knocking on doors, another board member helping us carry the trap when she went in! Truly a team effort ! Thank you all!
Mozzie missing since April 25th is now trapped and safe.
We got a call in April 28th from Kjell asking if we can help with Mozzie, we normally wouldn't take a case in that area because both of us work full time jobs, have kids, multiple dogs and foster. When trapping a dog you need to be available immediately. There are sightings that get called in where you need to get to the area ASAP. When a trap is set you have to be available ASAP, we see many people set traps that aren't monitored or they set traps and leave wildlife in the trap overnight until they can get to it, or even stray cats, we can not do that, we sometimes get people willing to help but 9/10 times, they still take an hour or more to let whatever is in trap out...... that's too long for us, so we like to be right there within 10 minutes. We took Mozzies case on anyway, some reasons are we were pretty sure with the description she wasn't go to go to anybody, we also followed sightings where she was on rt33 and that killed us, we needed to get her safe. So we headed down that night, set feeding stations, and a trap in the area she was seen for 2 days well with the rain and people "trying to get her" she never returned to that spot, so we moved feeding station to another sighting where people "almost caught her" once again she didn't return...... lesson here is please when people say do not chase........ they say it for a reason, it doesn't necessarily me "run after" it means follow, call out to, follow in a car, go up to her when she is comfortable.... pretty much anything if the dog isn't coming to you..... just call in the sighting and ignore the dog. Well a few days went by with no confirmed sightings but we were not going to give up. We still grilled daily, we scanned fb for sightings ect. Well on May 5th I got a call that she was possibly seen town's and miles away! We figured before we went we would wait to see if another sighting, sure enough there way same town a few minutes away......then Ma

Gypsy Is Home Safe!!!
After 19 days on the run we trapped Gypsy who was lost in Pocono Country Place in Tobyhanna. Her humans were overjoyed to get her back!! ❤️❤️
Midnights 3rd great escape!
Continuation of Midnights adventure...... we went out to set a trap up for a lost dog in East Stroudsburg, he had been seen but owners were not having any luck getting him, the owners also just got him days prior to him getting away, and it was his second escape, the first one thankfully a neighbor was able to trap him under a car and get him. We asked the owner the name of the dog and she said Midnight.....we explained the last black fluffy dog we trapped and sure enough it was the same dog different owners
The 3rd time he was doing really good at avoiding getting trapped again, but here he is finally safe and sound after a very long week and a couple days...... Welcome home Night Night! Please stay there this time!
