2 Weeks ago we got a mother cow with her baby. They are with us as a result of go fund me. A group of people came together to save these beauties from slaughter. I’m happy to say both mom and baby are fitting right in. The baby has already grown. We love them very much. It’s so nice to see them happy, settled and safe!

Volunteers Desperately Needed:

We are in need of people who are willing to feed the animals. They get fed at 9am and 4pm but we can be somewhat flexible with times. It takes about an hour each feeding. Right now the schedule is open and we would appreciate a commitment of any day(s) and/or time(s) you can spare.

If interested please text or call Olivia at 570-594-3759. If you call and I don’t pick up please leave a voicemail and I’ll get right back to you.

We need your help!

1. We are looking for a full time live in volunteer to help take care of the cows and the grounds.

2. We are looking for volunteers to donate an hour of their time in the mornings or evenings or both. The task would involve putting out hay for the cows, filling water bowls, feeding our pig and feeding the roosters. We are flexible with times and would appreciate any hour you can do.

If you are interested you can email the sanctuary here through Facebook and someone will get right back to you. You also can call Olivia 570-594-3759 who can put you in touch with an administrator.

Thank you!

Our Story

Our founder - Dr. Sankar Sastri, a retired engineering professor, started the sanctuary in March 2000. He has spent the past 18 years dedicated to serving and protecting the animals on his farm.

Our mission:

1. To rescue cows and other animals destined for slaughter and provide a nurturing home for these sentient beings.

2. To educate individuals on the relationship between health and diet. Many of our major health illnesses (diabetes, heart disease, hypertension, etc) are reversible with dietary changes.
