The Holidays are upon us! Our hours will be as follows...

Saturday December 21, 2024: Open, but we will not have a doctor on staff. We will have one of our Certified Veterinary Technicians here to answer questions and see technician appointments only (Nail trims, a**l glands, monthly allergy and arthritis injections, etc.). Please have all prescriptions for your pets called in to the office by Friday December 20th!

Tuesday December 24th, 2024: Open half day (7:30a-Noon)

Wednesday December 25th, 2024: Closed for Christmas

Tuesday December 31, 2024: Open half day (7:30a-Noon)

Wednesday January 1, 2025: Closed for New Years

Why vaccinate for Leptospirosis? Warm and wet climates provide an ideal breeding ground for Leptospira bacteria, which are found in the kidneys of infected mice, rats, skunks, raccoons, and possums.

Lepto can not only be fatal in dogs if not treated early, it can be transmitted to humans as well.

When vaccinating for Leptospirosis, it is very important to follow the vaccine schedule. The initial series consists of two doses 2-3 weeks apart and then once per year after that. If a vaccine is missed, the series needs to be repeated.

We will be open tomorrow, Wednesday 10/9 at least until Noon, possibly a little longer if need be, and will be closed on Thursday 10/10 for the impending storm. Please be sure to get any medication or food refills by noon 10/9. We plan on opening for regular business hours Friday 10/11 from 7:30 AM to 5:00PM and Saturday from 8-12. Pet Emergency of Martin County and MedVet Jupiter will both remain open 24/7 through the storm if you need emergency care for your Pets. Please stay safe !

We are watching Hurricane Milton closely. We will be open Monday October 7th and Tuesday October 8th. We will monitor the weather to determine if we will need to close early on Wednesday October 9th through Thursday the 10th. We will post updates when the storm gets closer!
