Constant training and refreshing on skills is an integral part of our job. As such, during several recent patrol shifts, our members all participated in Building Entry and Clearing classes, to include a classroom and practical portion.

Note: All members performed a full safety check, clearing all weapons used during training to ensure officer safety. These fi****ms were then flagged with caution tape as seen in these photos.

Ladies and gentlemen, the members of the Sturbridge Police Association are excited to reveal our newest patch!

The new Sturbridge Police K9 patch is now for sale, proceeds of this patch and the Rocky-SPD patch will directly go into toward our K9s care and comfort!

Patches will be sold for $10 each at the Sturbridge Police Association table during National Night Out of August 6th.

It’s always great when our retired members come back for a visit to mentor the new pups! 🐾💙

I got to see and play with my friend Vlasko yesterday. He said he was enjoying his retirement from the Sturbridge Police and loving his time as a “regular” dog now.

Officer Hemingway and Dispatcher Lupacchino sprinted to the finish line of the 2024 Officer Ronald Tarentino, Jr. Charitable Fund 5K Race today!

Please join us in congratulating Officer Hemingway on his 1st Place run in the Male Uniform Challenge Division, way to go Officer Hemingway!

Thank you both for representing the Sturbridge Police Association so well and continuing to honor the legacy Officer Tarentino!

Springfield Police Officer Nestor Santos was shot in the face and leg on Wednesday night. He is currently in a Boston area hospital and has a bullet fragment lodged in his head. He has had one surgery, and Doctors were able to save his eye, but he will likely lose his vision in one eye. He will likely need several more surgeries before he is released. During this incident, seven suspects were arrested and seven illegal fi****ms including an AR-15 style rifle were recovered.

A big thank you to the WEEI Boston's Sports Original and the The Greg Hill Foundation for helping to raise money for Officer Santos and his family for an extended stay in Boston and any medical bills.
