Big Hair Pet Care is a small in home training business established in 2018. Owned + operated by Jessica Specter the founder of Big Hair Animal Rescue- a non profit, foster based rescue. She has been working with dogs in a high volume capacity + dog's with behavioral needs since 2010.

Check out Mavi! She no longer bounces off the walls! Here she demonstrates she’s motivated to sit still and behave all for a tiny piece of popcorn. Mavi is available for adoption. She’s a 3-4 year old 50 lb shepherd/collie mix. She’s house trained, crate trained, leash trained, spayed and up to date on vaccines. Mavi’s ideal home is with another dog or two and an active owner(s). She’s suitable to live with older children too.Please reach out! 👋

Mavi and Teegan enjoyed a late night walk. It’s important to recognize how much control you have when working with your dog on leash reactivity or stranger danger. If your dog can not handle busy environments try going early morning or late night. Rainy days usually guarantee a level of calm and quiet a sunny day can’t. Mavi no longer needs this level of support but its always comforting to know how helpful a late night walk can be to a high energy dog. 💝
