Beau Beau Beau. Today's lesson went well, and quick to. I think it's because he was just that amazing. Good brushing, surcingle, then eventually a bit in his mouth again. It was unenjoyable to say the least. We lunged and had the bit which was good he calmed down after a bit(pun intended) I am happy, he's respectful and responsive when we are lunging, he's not tupping my arms off, he needs some work with changing directions but it's not terrible. The end ❤️❤️❤️

Thursday, April, 10th
We worked on Beau's topline by trotting over logs. He did very well going left but when he went right he had other plans. He didn't kick or charge me but he did pull a little harder and bucked once. He also thought he was a show jumper because he cantered over the logs and didn't hit any surprisingly. We finished off with a trail walk and encountered ducks for the first time! He is still only 3-4 so he's still got a lot to learn but he's taking it like a champ!! Also RBF? No RCE... The resting crazy eye is literally CRAZY ❤️😂

Yesterday on my day off I went to the barn for vet day! Since Beau is the best he got to go first and it was his 2nd dental! He got 2 baby teeth removed and the rest of his teeth floated. Afterwards in the stall he got his sheath cleaned(it was kinda gross but not too bad) and a full groom!!! After he perked up I took him back out and he experienced a car drive close-ish like 7 feet away from him. Luckily for me he didn't care and walked by only trying to eat the gravel... I am so proud of how far this turd has come and this time I WONT lose his teeth... Let's just say his wolf teeth are history thanks to my sister's... I'm still mad about that. 😠

Today was really really good! He's shedding a lot tho... It's everywhere... We started off normal with a good brushing. He was sweaty, muddy, and covered in gelding p*e so that was gross. We got his surcingle and pad on, lunged a bit(foreshadowing) and then after he was done he got a bit put in!!! I'm soooo happy he's come so far. He did a good job tho it was hard to walk and chew at the same time but he eventually got over it, kinda sorta... We ended with a relaxing trail walk around the property! He also ripped his blanket...what a boy...

Soooo... Yesterday was a pretty chill day. We set up a bunch of obstacles and toys to mess around with and Beau loved it! The pink donkey definitely owes him money 😂

In yesterday's lesson, we played around with tarps, balls, and mounting block practice. I'm proud of how he handled the tarp, whether it was under or behind him, he didn't care. When I lunged him, he absorbed some of Dolly's energy and seemed to work through it. And at the end since he was a good boy he got birthday cake flavored cookies 😋

Gosh today was a great day! It wasn't too cold or windy, but just right! Turns out he was a little fresh but worked it out. He was dressed up in his surcingle and we trotted around again. Justin was there and gave Beau a bit of a scare sometimes but after a while he was all for it! Gotta love this boy!

I FINALLY MADE IT OUT THERE!!!
I went to see Beau and we worked on nothing 😂 I let him run around in a circle. Surprisingly he didn't buck, which I'm happy he didn't lol. But he was a good boy I let him pick his pace and he wanted to trot so I let him. He still needs to work on going around me and not pulling so hard on the lunge line. But he's young and still learning ❤️

Again really...🥲
Yesterday was amazing, Beau was tacked up in his ground driving equipment and did ok. He's still a baby but he's improving slowly but surely! He's a bit sticky and struggles with something but he will get there. I love this boy. We ended with a sunset trail ride and the geldings spooked and bucked and caused chaos but Beau was a trooper through it. Can't wait for our future and hopefully we'll keep improving ❤️
