Here's some info on Orioles:

During nesting season, orioles may not visit grape jelly feeders as often because they need high-protein insects to feed their young. You can try offering other foods to attract orioles during this time, such as:

Live mealworms: A great source of protein in mid-summer

Nectar: Made from one part white sugar to four parts water, similar to hummingbird nectar

Suet: Another food that orioles may enjoy

Fresh fruit: Orioles love oranges and grapes, and you can put them out in a fruit feeder or impale them on a branch.

We got some big ones!

Solar-powered fountains added to birdbaths are better at attracting birds and keeping their water cleaner. In this case, what's good for birds is good for humans, too. Solar fountains reduce the likelihood of a birdbath becoming a breeding ground for mosquitoes, water-borne pests, and foul-smelling bacteria or algae.

Fun Fact:

Goldfinches are vegetarian's, so you're probably going through more Thistle these days because they actually shell the seeds, and regurgitate them to feed their young.

When Cowbirds destroy host eggs to lay their own eggs in another nest, their young usually hatch sooner and grow faster than most songbirds. Because Goldfinches are vegetarian's, Cowbird young will actually be stunted from the lack of protein, and most die before fledging.
