Angora Goats

We are striving to produce the finest colored mohair in the country by purchasing our animals from top breeders across the nation. Our mohair is sold through our Etsy shop in the form of washed locks, dyed locks, roving, fiber batts and yarn! Whole fleeces are available in Spring and Fall.

Spring is kidding season and always brings a lot of excitement when the new kids arrive. We try to have a variety of goats for sale throughout the year, but the kids that are born in the Spring are not available until they are at least 4 months old, which is usually some time in June or July when they are weaned from their dams. Does that have produced doe kids for us are usually sold at this time too as our breeding plan is to always try to improve not only the fineness and softness of the mohair, but conformation as well. To achieve these goals, the wonderful AAGBA registered white Angora goats have been used in our breeding plan and it usually takes a couple of generations to achieve the depth of color that we are looking for, in the meantime, we produce a lot of bucks that will make wonderful herdsires when crossed with other colored does. These bucks are great for people that are looking to improve their colored herd as one of those steps has already been done and since Angora’s only produce once a year, that can save a lot of time for small breeders. We also occasionally have buck kids that for one reason or another will not make an exceptional herdsire, so they are wethered ( castrated) and make wonderful pets for a very small amount of cost, one shearing and you can pretty much cover the cost of them! They make great fiber pets and 4H projects as they don’t have the stresses like does and bucks do and therefore, their mohair stays fine and soft for their whole life and their personalities are wonderful too!

We welcome farm visits, but please call or message us a few days in advance so that we can plan accordingly, if you are traveling through and want to stop by, please give us a call and hopefully we can welcome you! Goats can also be shipped all across the US with reliable transporters, but hey, a road trip is always great too!
