If you remember the days when seeing 20 to 30 coveys of quail in a day was not uncommon, you deserve to enjoy a Wild Wing hunt. If you’ve ever been disappointed by your hunt at a “released” quail operation, we can assure you that won’t be the case here. Our native warm-season grasses and “Covey Base Camp” method of creating habitat means our birds are healthy and well-fed, and they’ve adapted to t
he kind of habitat quail are supposed to live in. When you step past one of our well-trained pointing dogs and a covey of 20-plus birds rockets up in every direction, you’ll understand what we mean by “The Wild Wing Difference”. About our Bird Dog Training:
Our Philosophy of developing a gun dog in the proper manner is to expose the young dog to all of the elements that mother nature has to offer and some that she does not, including numerous bird contacts. We have found that by doing this we build on their natural pointing ability and desire, and when done in the proper manner and time this will produce a bird dog that has a lot of style and intensity around their game. We do not believe in or participate in the idea that all can be accomplished in 90 days, and leave the dog with the intensity that the owner desires around game. We believe in using a gentle hand to achieve the desired goals, one that will leave the dog with a great desire to hunt and produce game for the owner. Through our habitat and quail management programs and with the diversity of our habitat we are able to expose a dog to a wide range of hunting patterns with numerous bird contacts daily. We are able to expose the dog to more contacts during our training then most dogs will encounter in a lifetime.
