I wasn’t able to get a before of Sadie and Nugget, but here they are looking beautiful!! Little old Sadie doesn’t have a care in the world during her grooming. I’m not sure what she’s thinking in her head, but she totally isn’t bothered by anything. Nugget is more lively than Sadie, but still a good girl and does a great job for her haircut! ☺️

Oh, Bella!! I sent some prayers up before I started Bella’s groom because she was *kinda* cranky last time. The prayers worked because we made tremendous progress today! A little reassurance to let her know she’d be okay and that I was only trying to help her went a long way I think. I won’t say it was perfect, but I most certainly call it a win for this appointment! Yay, Bella!! 💕

Lilah and Charlie are looking great after their grooms! Lilah is such a little lady and so kind. Charlie is a sweet boy with lots of energy. He wants to play all the time with Lilah. He was also over his photo shoot as you can see!! 😅

Sweet, sweet Marley came in for a mini groom. This precious girl gets a tidy up - not so much for looks, but for comfort. She’s not as young as she once was and to long on the grooming table wears her out. She also had a nice sun bath after her pictures in front of the window. 🥹 Love this pretty girl!

Harper came in for her full groom! She left with a lot less hair and looking much more polished! She’s definitely my serial sitter on the table! 😅 It’s a game of down and up with her bottom during her groom. 😄

Everyone meet Lucy, Marley’s little sister. She usually comes in for a quick nail trim, but today she got pampered with a bath and brush! I had to include multiple pictures of her with her cute ears! Marley had a full groom and got that top knot cut back a bit. It was getting a little out of hand! Both these girlies are sweet and absolutely adorable! Glad we got to spend some time with them in the shop! ☺️

Marley is a new girl to the shop and she was an angel! Her paw-rents like their doodle to be poodled! She’s a beautiful girl and we were so happy to meet her! Can’t wait till we see her again! ☺️💕

Every three weeks I get to spend time with two of my favorites, Chloe and Rollie! Peep Rollie’s dissatisfaction of me about to spray him with the cologne! It’s hilarious! 😆

It’s been a while since I’ve seen this handsome, sweet boy Hank! He loves to talk to me during picture time. Hank has the cutest little whines and we giggled at him (sorry, Hank!) every time he did it. So good seeing this boy! 💙

Mama came in for her regular shave down. Fun fact about Mama: she loves to put all her weight on me when working on her paws. I keep telling her ain’t nobody got time for that. She either doesn’t care or doesn’t listen. Maybe both. Yeah, I’m sure both. 🤷🏼‍♀️ I wonder if she takes after her Dad?! 🤔😂 jk Dad! Love you, Mama!! 💕

The cuteness is real with Oakley!!! She *is* a little bit drama with the dryer, but we still love her no matter what! You just look at that adorable face and can’t help but smile! ☺️

Obi is definitely tall, dark, and handsome. Add in those mysterious eyes and you got one beautiful boy!! See that third picture? That’s similar to how he was when I said it was bath time. When Obi doesn’t wanna move, he doesn’t move. I had to slide him across the floor to get him closer to the tub. Then had to pick him up to put him in the bath…😰 Good thing I had my chiropractor appointment this morning! 😅

No one can convince me otherwise that Mabel is the coolest girl there is!! I mean, she comes in decked out with her awesome accessories and then she shows up with her costume!! This girl definitely came to get pampered and enjoyed her spaw day!! 😎💁🏼‍♀️

Little Miss Roxie had a full groom. This girl is very particular about what she doesn’t like. Ears being clipped is one and me touching her legs is another. 😂 We both get to do a little dance around the table to get the groom done, but we get there!! 😊

New guy alert! Finley had his first ever groom and we’re glad it was at POTP! He has a few things to get comfortable with, but no doubt that will happen with time! He’s such a handsome boy and so incredibly sweet! 💙

Sweet Piper got her ears cut per Mom’s request! Piper is so pretty it doesn’t matter if her ears are long or short! I love this girl so much and on appointment days she gets to hang out with us all day and I love it!! ☺️

Miss Dolly cries like a baby when her Mom leaves her. It’s sad and funny at the same time! She chills out shortly after drop off and is easily distracted when you mention “treat”! It looks like she made a new friend (Nugget), but she only wanted the treat I had! 😅 Dolly is adorable in all her accessories! 💕

Zoe, Sasha, and Snickers came in for mini grooms. They had their paw pads cleaned out, a sanitary trim, nails clipped, and their faces cleaned up. Zoe about took the backdrop out with her tail and I wasn’t sure I’d get a picture of her, she wanted her treat!! Sasha and Snickers sat perfectly still for me. These three are always sweethearts and I enjoy every appointment I have with them! 🤍 They got their trick-or-treat goodies on the way out!

👻 Spooky Season 👻 is here!

The October backdrop is near and dear to my heart because my incredibly talented daughter, Avery, put her artistic skills to work to bring it to life! 🥹

A couple of things for October:

🎃 If you have a costume for your pup - send it! Let’s get some cute pictures of them looking even more adorable!

🦇 At the end of the month I want to have a contest and you all vote on your favorite! (Entries aren’t just limited to POTP clients - it’s for all puppers sporting their costumes!) I will create a post at the end of the month and all entries will be included in the comment section to vote on. The picture with the most likes will be the winner! Keep a look out for the post to enter your pup!
Winner will receive a basket full of goodies for your pooch!! Winner must claim gift basket at Paws on the Prairie. 🐾👻🎃

👻 Each dog will go home with their own trick-or-treat bag for the month of October filled with treats to snack on! Yum! 😋

Paws on the Prairie is one! 🥳1️⃣ This is a look back over 2023 and some of the pawsome pups I took care of! 🥹🐶🐾 I’ve heard it said that if you do what you love you’ll never work a day in your life. I whole heartedly believe that sentiment after this past year. Not only have I established relationships with the doggos, but I have come to know their pet parents and love them also! I have had some great conversations, shared life experiences, and prayed for/with many. Thank YOU to my pet parents who help me live my dream. You have all been blessings in my life whether you realize it or not. God is good!! Can’t wait for this next year! 🤩 Let’s make those fur babies look and feel their best!! 🤍
