Outback Riders of Wisconsin Stewards of the OBR Machickanee Trail System in Oconto County! Outback Riders, Inc.

was established to create and maintain a public bridle path in the Machickanee Forest and the Oconto River Trail in accordance with the Special Recreational Use Permit granted by the Oconto County Forestry & Parks Department; to hold family oriented equine related social activities and fundraisers. The Outback Riders operate as a non-profit corporation in accordance with the laws of the state of Wisconsin.

A big shout out to our Outback Riders’ President, Gail Stranz, her husband Steve, and their son Will, who donated their Saturday morning to install protective barriers around the (new) well and the porta potty that was previously vandelized.

🤠In early October, highlines will be installed behind the new parking area

🤠We also have also been working hard to put up more trail markers to enhance the trails.

THANK YOU to our members and to everyone who has either donated money, resources &/or their time to the Outback Rider Trail Sytem!!

It is dry out there as normally these are under water so would be nice to get them cut before any water

Just got word that the hand pump and generator hookup should be done around end of September!
