Had a good trim yesterday after a week off for my vacation! Had a bunch of guys I see regularly and one really interesting corrective case that got my brain ticking. She's going to need regular trimming to get her hoof wall back to where it needs to be but I'm proud of where I was able to go with it :)

Had a great day of trimming today and looking forward to tomorrow's trims. Not to late if you want to add on in Richmond! Today I got to do the cutest sheep along with some young goats.

Additionally trimmed up this fellas rabbits. I forget to advertise but I'll trim those up for $5 a bun ;)

Hello all! It's hot and nobody wants to be out in this heat but I'm willing to save you some work by coming out to help with your goat and sheep needs! I've been trimming for 6 years, trained by my work for a large show barn and I keep researching better ways to address the issues we face in this part of the country. I always carry hoof rot treatment and that application is included in the trim, as needed. I do corrective work and love hard cases! I do not mind wild ones, all are treated with gentle care.

I'm also experienced at banding and carry 2 types of banders, including a California, so no size is too small. I also offer disbudding, vaccines, and show clipping if ever needed.

Recent clean disbudding this Monday! Did you know that males have a larger bud than females? That's why some pictures I post have a larger burn spot. It's called the figure 8 and helps ensure the prevention of scurs (horn growths that aren't attached to the skull). Not every burn is perfect and even the best burn can result in scurs but I heard very few (I think 1?) Clients report back with scurs.

The reason we disbud is to protect the goat from getting stuck in fences or protect the handler during milking or at petting zoo operations. It is best done within the first week or two, when you can just feel the bumps poking at the skin.

After several months off, I'm happy to offer my trimming services once again. I am highly reviewed and well experienced with trimming correctively with goats and sheep. I roll in with a stand and tools to you, I'll talk you through what I see and treat any hoofrot or separation I'll see without uncharging. I don't mind overgrown feet, this is a no judgement zone. After having to take a 6 month break from trimming, I'm now back into business and taking on new clients. I'll be messaging to check in with my regulars but feel free to send me a message and I will be happy to get you on the books as soon as possible.

New clients: $25 a goat for hooves regardless of length, medication included as needed
$50 for disbudding, I have an excellent record of clean heads and 0% infection or injury
$20 for banding

Old clients: old prices will be honored.

Gas fee will be calculated based on location.

Hey guys, thank you for your patience with me. I've just had some medical issues that caused me to have to have surgery, so I will have to wait to schedule until I know I'm recovered enough to trim. I do not expect it to take very long, but I won't know until I'm there. I will get with you all for scheduling when I am able. Thank you for your loyalty and support.

These are the trims that make me use my brain! I was working on this girl for quite a while to get her balanced again. Note: this can be caused by lack of minerals and a need for more corrective trimming. Luckily, her owner addressed both!

Take a look at your goats feet when you get the chance. This goat was only 6 weeks after a trim and threw a crazy amount of hoof. Spring brings new hoof growth! We're going to every 4 for her to see if we can keep her straight.

Our has been a crazy month with all these babies coming in hot! So happy that most are already spoken for to good homes (minus 2 beautiful girls). Looking forward to what my next 2 does bring me in late March!
