Dog Walking & Play Companion Services 5 days a week in Norfolk, North Suffolk & Western Branch. (Monday - Friday, 10:00 AM - 3 :00 PM)

Dog Boarding is also available! Dogs will stay in my home during your time away.

A Barking Good Time, LLC, a local Dog Walking and Boarding Company, is currently hiring exceptional dog walkers for the North Suffolk & Western Branch area. This position is fun and rewarding as you get to enjoy the outdoors, get exercise and be loved by amazing local dogs!

Please read the Dog Walker Responsibilities, Requirements and Qualifications before applying for this position.

Responsibilities:
• Enter the homes of clients and visit with their dogs for varying lengths of time (usually 15 – 30 minutes each)
• Walk pets as requested
• Feed pets as requested
• Check that pets have ample, clean water supply and refill as necessary
• Patrol homes for accidents or damage caused by pets in the absence of their owners
• Clean accidents or damage discovered in homes of our clients
• Communicate with management

Requirements/Qualifications:
• Virginia residence within 5 miles of 23435 and 23321 (North Suffolk / Western Branch) is preferred
• Must at least 18 years or over
• Must be available between the hours of 9:00AM– 3:30PM Monday – Friday
• Must have your own reliable mode of transportation to perform the duties associated with this role.
• Must have your own reliable Android or iPhone with internet access and data plan
• Must be extremely detail oriented and able to follow detailed instructions
• Must be responsible, reliable, and dependable
• Must be timely and punctual
• Must be able to self-manage
• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must be compassionate about animals
• Must feel comfortable working with and interacting with both small and large dogs (all breeds)
• Must be willing to walk and drive in all weather conditions
• Must be able and willing to make at least a 6 month commitment, however longer is better
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check

This is a Part Time SUPPLEMENTAL INCOME position.
