Cosmo is so sad today because not a single family has asked to meet him. 🥲 And it makes him so sad because he really wants to find his furever home. His foster mom is trying to keep his spirits up by giving him lots of love. Cosmo is a great boy. He is estimated to be around 1.5 years old and a lab retriever mix. He loves every single dog he meets and would do best with a playful pup sibling to wrestle with. He has a prey drive so no feline friends. Cosmo is scared of small children so he will do best in a home with older teens. He loves his daily walks and car rides. He also loves the water and is a great swimmer. He will do best with an active family with a fenced-in yard. It only takes one second to share so please hit that share button so that Cosmos family can find him. Labor Day weekend is fast approaching. If you haven’t reserved your baby’s room, I would encourage you to do it soon. We still have some rooms available but you know we fill up fast. Especially on holidays when there’s a great possibility that loud parties and fireworks will be a part of it. Everyone have a safe and happy Labor Day weekend.

JR update: After a day of fluids he is feeling much better! Unfortunately his kidney values have not improved so he has to remain hospitalized overnight. Hoping he can come home tomorrow.

Our Pet of the Week is doggie royalty in search of a new forever castle. Say hello to 👑 Princess 👑!

Princess is 9 years old and came to us all the way from Companion Animal Alliance in Louisiana with the help of Cathy Bissell and the BISSELL Pet Foundation. This sweet girl wants nothing more than a forever home with plenty of cozy nap spots and a loving family to provide unlimited snuggles. When she's not up to her eyes in comforters and dog beds, Princess enjoys being outside and soaking up the sun.

Like many seniors, Princess' eyesight and hearing aren't what they used to be, but she doesn't let that slow her down. Additionally, this lovely lady was diagnosed as hyperthyroid and will need medication for the rest of her life. Princess will need to meet any canine residents in the home, but we suspect she will get along with any calm and respectful dog.

Princess thanks Purina for providing delicious food for all felines and canines at the shelter as they wait for their forever homes.

We Are Closed for Intake and do not foresee opening anytime !
We did a plea for help yesterday and raised $26 that will be paid out next month on the 22nd via PayPal Giving fund disbursement.
Without support and relief from crushing debt we cannot survive as rescue. I have to work part time job to pay for the rescues needs including food for cats and dogs.
That little neglected owner surrender dog Biscuit was a huge expense we had not planned on. We were not told he would be a hospice case or that he needed major medical care.
We need fosters and adopters for dogs and puppies immediately!
We need donations to stay afloat! But more importantly we have an immediate need for $660 to pay boarding fees that were due yesterday!

Buster was surrendered to us and is ready to find his forever family. Buster is about a year and a half old and is full of energy. He will be looking for an active family. We are told Buster has been great around people of all ages, and has done well with other dogs. Duke! **Update: Adopted!**

Approx 8 years old. Housetrained, loves to go camping and exploring with family. Good with kids. Had issues over the years with another dog in the family and needs to be the only pet in the home.
