Remember Tucker who I pulled from Virginia Beach animal services. Well I didn’t get much footage because as it turns out he was a pretty good dog who had some basic obedience. We played quite a bit and gave him a good outlet. Well he got adopted today and the adopters sent me this video an hour and a half after they picked him up. Play is one of the most powerful things you can do with your dog when done correctly.
Sabaka is coming along nicely. Just 3 days after she opened up and started playing with me. Now the magic will happen.
This looks unimpressive and sloppy, but this is a big deal. Sabaka has really opened up. We will keep this going and teach her a good out and then all her obedience while still letting her be the dog she is meant to be. These are the big moments for me and also for her.
This is the first day Lash isn’t actively trying to bite me. So many trainers will muzzle the dog and withhold food hand feed so that they become a food dispenser. Lash has a full bucket of food in her kennel run, my goal is for her to see me as a friend and trust me as such. It’s a much better way. She definitely has the cards stacked against her but we are spending a few days together to give an honest best and worst case scenario to her humans as to what is the best course of action for her and them.
It’s nice to be able to include William when I can. Not all dogs are equipped to handle a 3 year old.
