ADOPTED - GOLDIE. We are so pleased to share that sweet Goldie has a home for the holidays! She came to us as an older pup and stayed way too long. Seems the outcome was worth the wait as she is absolutely enamored with her new family and pups! We could not be happier for her!

This is a very good article....was posted in a K group but applies to all LGDs especially lesser-known ones that need VERY EXPERIENCED owners. I have seen so many LGDs being rehomed, few rescues (especially shelters) allow them to go to working homes. I know there are a few like Blue Bonnet but very few. I wanted to try to adopt LGDs rather than buy puppies but EVERY SINGLE place I reached out to would not adopt to a working farm.

Since we are often in a position to educate and influence other humans, I thought I might talk livestock guarding dogs (LGD). Well - sadly my Stanley classic trigger action travel thermos/mug has met a horrific ending😭I carried this thing with me everywhere for almost 10 years (it was my son's before he passed and like he was with me) and it kept my coffee hot throughout the day. It fell off the truck as I was prepping the farm for the snow and possible outages (i.e. 3 inches of ice). I found it crushed. I have other thermoses and travel mugs but they just don't come close to the Stanley.
