Today the pups had their 1st feeding of milky puppy gruel to begin weaning them from Roux. For those wondering what our puppy gruel is, it is goat's milk, pumpkin, unflavored pedialyte, Karo, & rice cereal for day 1, on day 2 I will add some crushed up hard puppy food. The mixture will gradually get thicker each day until they are fully weaned. They will get this about 4 times a day & nurse only in the morning & at night. Aren't they just too cute?? 🥰🥰

Day 1 - 3/9/22- 1st nursing. Roux is such a good Momma. 3 boys & 2 girls.

Welcome to the Churchill House of Bulldogs page! Our pups are given the upmost care, love & attention from Day 1. Our pups begin with assisted supervised nursing time with Roux every 2 hrs for the first 10 days. They are kept in an incubator during this time to help control body temperature & provide a safe sleeping environment. After day 10, our pups begin a nursing schedule of every 3 hrs and will begin transitioning from the incubator to the whelping box over the next week. A special combo of solid foods along with nursing time will be offered starting about the 4 week mark. Puppy pad training will begin as well during this time. Our pups will have their 1st vet visits at 6 weeks and start going to new homes thereafter.
