The dogs of Fairway: Miniature American Shepherds, Chinese Cresteds and Aussies We are a small hobby kennel in downeast Maine.
Our goal is to breed healthy, well rounded, quality dogs that are first and foremost loving companions. We love to show our dogs and compete in AKC, CKC and UKC events. We health test our dogs and raise the pups using the Early Neurological Stimulation method. With plenty of fresh Maine country air and space to run, the Minis and Cresteds, and us, enjoy a good life.
This sweet intact boy was found on the side of the road near the 124 exit in Waterville. We’re calling him Morty. He does have a microchip, but it seems to have no information on it. If you know anything about this sweet boy please contact us at (207) 873-2430.

“So this happened in Montana. I'm on my way to go to my interview this morning when I get pulled over by a police officer.
I am native American and my friend that was with me is black. Just saying.
Both brake lights decided to go out this time.
As he walked to the car and I was pulling out my stuff, he quickly said,
"Don't worry about pulling anything out. I just want you to know that your brake lights are out."
So I'm immediately upset, because I just got them replaced like last month.
So I explained to him how Firestone wants to charge me $600 just to run a test on the wiring of the car.
He looked at me like 😨 and told me to pop the trunk.
He checked the lights in the trunk and tapped them, but they didn't come on.
So he told me to pop the hood to check the relay box then asked me to get out to check the other one.
Then worked on the wiring under the dash.
He could've easily given me a ticket, but Officer Jenkins stepped out of officer role, and into mechanic role, and human role to make sure I was straight.
By the way HE FIXED THEM. Not everyone is racist, or a bad cop.”

We still have 2 pups available. The blue boy Lander , would make an awesome agility/herding prospect. He’s sweet , smart and has drive. Prairie, my tri girl, is another sweet pup, but just is a bit more particular to her people. PM me for more info and a questionnaire.

Humane Society Waterville Area
The Fringe x Wilson pups are 3 weeks already. My, does time fly. Poor Lander (blue Merle male) is outnumbered with 4 sisters. I’m loving these sweet, playful and social babies.
Last day at Klondike Ranch, and it was a sad one saying goodbye to our partners and new friends, as one by one we watched our small group leave for home. Candace, Annette and I are the die hards leaving early morning, and only because we will be thrown out if not. LOL Candace will miss her Coal, as I my Quattro.
Richard was teaching us how to spin and throw a rope before our last ride. Candace was a natural. I did much better playing corn hole for the first time then roping. Besides smacking myself in the back of the head a million times, I just about hung myself by tangling my neck up a few times. Despite my horrible attempt, we both bought ropes in town to go home with and practice.
Last night we all went to a rodeo and watched the owners Grandson Xander bull ride. How fun. Not only a handsome young man, but very talented. We laughed as the PeeWee barrel races competed in tow with their parents or a simple walk. This morning we had to try it for ourselves. We all did it and had a good laugh at each other. I stayed at a trot, and finished the straight away in a canter. Won’t be competing in any time soon.
The Niki x Wilson pups had their evaluations and photos a bit early, and here they are. Amy Davis, Kelly Reilly-Furlong, Arty, Tammy DeVito (on Face Time), and I had a good time with my 6 and Amy’s 4. They weren’t really the most cooperative, but with some cream cheese bribe, we got through it. Tomorrow they go to Lucerne Veterinary Clinic for their 8 week check up and then a 4 hour trip to Port City Veterinary Hospital for their Opthamology exam. My babies are growing up. Courtney will be staying here with me.
I haven’t posted lately how nicely Party is maturing. Just loving her calm and loving personality, and pretty to boot! Fringe and Party are best buds.
The Niki x Wilson pups will be 4 weeks on Saturday. They are eating mush and already trying to get out of the nest box. Sweet and playful! Loving these little ones. All pups are spoken for at this time.
We’re pretty excited to see what these two dogs produce. Dam: CH Fairway’s Long Drive N Short Knickers “Niki” and sire: Fairway’s Play’N Through Rose Acres “Wilson”, are expecting October 20th-ish. This will be both dogs first litter, so it’ll all be a surprise. Hoping for a easy, uneventful whelping.
We are planning a breeding between Kearny, “CH Fairway’s Fluffy Lie” and Wilson, Fairway’s Play’N Through Rose Acres as soon as she cooperates and comes in season (soon). This will be an all red litter between health tested parents. Should be clear accept possible MDR1 carrier. We’re excited to see what Wilson produces.
Meet Party, Fairway’s Par-Tee at Stonehaven, the newest member of our family. She was bred by Jeff and Chris Margeson of Stonehaven Kennels, out of GRCH CH Fairway’s On The Nineteenth Hole, our co-owned girl. Party is my puppy back, and I could not be more smitten. She is smart, lovable, fearless and beautiful. Thank you Jeff and Chris for this special girl.
A couple pups left and the ones that are still here are having fun with their new Jungle Jim. This is so much fun to watch them play.
The pups are 6.5 weeks and are growing like weeds. Opthalmologist and puppy check up coming up, microchips will be in and shots at 8 weeks. Busy couple weeks.
The puppies are 4 weeks old now and it’s time to join the rest of the world, or at least the living room while I spend the day doing my artwork.
The Kearny x Shorty pups are 2 weeks old now. Eyes are opening, woddling around the whelping box and attempting to play. I love watching them grow!
The Kearny pups are 6 days old already. Fat and happy.
My Kearny had 8 pups last night. 5 girls and 3 boys, all colors. She officially had them before the midnight hour so they are all Friday the 13th babies, which has always been a good day for me! Mom and pups are all doing well.

Now we wait.
We are getting closer to the due date. Poor girl is doing well, just uncomfortable
Our girl Kearny, CH Fairway’s Fluffy Lie is confirmed pregnant. She was bred to Intn/Nat CH Rose Acres Keep N It Short N Sweet. Pups due around November 12th. I am so excited and can’t wait to see what she Blesses us with!
