My big city friend came for a visit. We are sitting outside enjoying the weather, my son lets his dog out, and I start responding to an email. Then this conversation ensues
Friend: Haha, you have a bird dog!!

Me proudly matching his energy: Yep!

Friend: No, fr he is zoned in on this bird, look at him!

Me attention still divided: Yeah, he’s a bird dog

Friend: Wait…What?

Me low key wondering why friend is so obsessed with bird dogs: They are bred to hunt birds so they call them bird dogs

I thought she was real smart, just gonna go broody right in front of the food. I mean I guess, she left to grab some meal worms, and now she’s at the wrong food hole. Didn’t even bother to take her one egg with her 🙄
