Wow!!! We had the largest participation we’ve ever had at High Hope this afternoon. I’d say we had every bit of 40-50 in the mess hall with us. We handed out 96 stockings and EVERYBODY won multiple Bingos. We had Santa (John Thompson) and he did an amazing job. Thought I was gonna have to hand him a bat to beat the ladies off of him. (Won’t let me tag on this page, but will tag on mine once I share)

We had so many bingo prizes and even did 2 $10 blackout games, cookies, cake and so much more. Of course none of this would’ve been possible without each and everyone you who continue to allow us to be able to do our little ministry. We have a huge THANK YOU to Kristen Gray for helping me get everything together (really she did it all and Astro and I showed up with our bags). Wouldn’t have been the same without you my friend. She is a Rockstar. So excited to have her on the team. Big thanks to her wonderful Niece for helping us stuff stockings, setting up all the door prizes and even got to play bingo with Net Net Eloi. To the Bonsall’s for getting us our 2nd sheet cake and to all our amazing friends and sponsors. We couldn’t do it without you. We had some items left over, that we will be dropping off at SC3 to help spread more cheer. This was our last event for the year and boy was it an awesome event. Our big boy almost fell out the explorer. He went to jump in the back and I guess his hip gave out halfway there, so 1/2 of him was in the vehicle and the heaviest part not. Smh. So i finally got him the back and made sure he was ok. He had some red marks from where he was hanging out out, but he sucked it up and we had a great time. (He’s had 2-3 Ramps and refuses to use them).

Wishing everyone a Very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. I know we are so excited to continue our 4th year of doing what we do. We have a lot of new events and even a new facility that we will be starting in January. We are going to be doing some amazing things and we will keep you all informed.

We are truly blessed to live in such an amazing community where we still teach our children the importance of helping others. I was called with a suprise donation from Maplewood Middle School Student Council to come and pick up some items for our Christmas Visits. To have this amazing relationship with these amazing teachers and students is an absolute BLESSING!!! Thank you so much as we couldn’t do it without each and everyone of you. We are still in need of items and or monetary donations. However as we all know God is good all the time. I’ll announce later the phone call I got last night!!!! Remember Holly Hill for drop off items which will be divided between Holly Hill and High Hope. I will be picking items up from Rica at Holly Hill on Thursday so that we can get all stockings etc. done by Friday. If you were wondering about items, personal hygiene products is always a plus, large, print, crossword puzzles, etc., candy, candy, canes, plastic smell good for their room however no candles or glass would be accepted. Outside of that anything Christmasy that you think somebody would like we have no problem excepting. Biggest issue is glass. We are in desperate need of donations to meet our 200 residents so they can have something for Christmas. Holly Hill is Friday and High Hope is next week. We raised about $1200 last fundraiser. However we had medical bills with Astro and numerous activities and down to $200 give or take. We spent $600 in 22 and $800 in 2024. We will not make it if we only have $200. If you feel lead to donate, buy stockings, stocking stuffers etc please let me know. We have cashapp, Venmo, chime and PayPal for monetary donations. If you’d like to purchase something I can come meet you and pick it up. This is our 4th year and these residents depend on us. Please let me know and so sorry last minute. I haven’t had a chance to pick my head as Medicare enrollment this year was insane. Love Astro 🐾 & Jared ❤️

Great morning at the Gardens and Guardian in Lake Charles this morning. Again just waiting on pictures. I do have some from stonebridge and high hope i believe. I don't have any from Holly Hill or the one from this morning yet. I'm working on all my medicare recertifications today and they have to be completed by midnight... SO HOPEFULLY TOMORROW I WILL POST SOME PICS. PLEASE REMEMBER WE ARE STILL DOING OUR FUNDRAISER AND THE DONATIONS AND SPONSPORSHIPS HAVE SLOWED WAY DOWN. We can't do it w/ out you. Please look at the page, I believe its pinned at top. Looking for a projector to borrow for like 2 months for my Medicare Workshops and I would love to go buy one, but the one I want and really need has a speaker on big speaker with it and its almost $2200 so we are gonna pass. lol for right now. I know I can buy a cheap one at best buy for under $200, but that would be a waste because I'm going to buy one w/ bigger speaker soon. So if anyone has any kind of projector that they would be willing to let me borrow for a month or so I would before ever grateful and I WILL RETURN IT. lol Just message me or shoot me text, call whatever if you can help.
