Sculley’s I’m So Fancy

Yesterday, we lost a great one and part of the reason we do this every day. Iggy was an amazing athlete with almost too much desire at times. But she loved this game more than anything. We are going to miss her around here but we’re thankful for the times we had with her and all the lessons she taught us. While we’re the trainers, often the dogs are the ones truly teaching us.

A little steadiness work this morning for the tune up dogs!

We are overwhelmed with the response on the 2 week tune ups. We can’t thank everyone enough for all the interest. If we didn’t get you in on this 2 weeks, we are going to start a second round as soon as these guys go home. This will push right up to opening weekends, and we know this messes some people up. But if it works out for you please don’t hesitate to call and book your spots. This group filled up way quicker than we expected! We promise we’ll start sooner and plan for more openings next season.

Duck season is almost here!

We’re offering a 2 week tune up for dogs we have trained. Don’t let opening day be the first time your dog has put in work since last season. We are limiting this to 10 dogs so don’t miss the opportunity!

We are looking for a dog lover to join our team. The position is “kennel manager”. This is not solely a kennel technician position but more of a manager role. With our growing training demand as well as the new boarding kennel, we are looking for a motivated individual to oversee the daily management of the kennel up-keep as well as exercising dogs. Pups are due at the end of January. This is a repeat breeding, with a nice mix of family dogs and hunting retrievers being trained out of the first litter. Would make a great family dog up to hunt test competitor and anything between.

Ross is my personal dog and is a dream to hunt over, steady, quiet, and has been an extremely consistent competitor in hunt tests over his career. He has over 500 HRC points, jammed the only 2 Qualifiers he’s ever run, and has over 50 Master passes.

Tess is a smaller female, and is as laid back as they come. She was very consistent getting her HRCH and MH title. Tess has hunted extensively with her owner and has shown to be quiet and consistent in the field as well.
