Our dogs are two beagles and two basset hounds that run free on a one-acre, fenced-in yard including a pool area and doggy door to get inside.

Day 15: Their eyes are open and they are getting brown faces. Plus, they are starting to walk instead of crawl. Still eating and sleeping a lot though.

Day 14: They have all begun to open their eyes except "Moose" (the biggest one). They are also not swimming around anymore but getting up on their little legs to walk. They feed day and night, and then go into a milk comma for awhile giving mommy a rest. They are growing fast!

Day 2: Peaches covers up her puppies to keep them safe and warm. If you pick one up she watches you and whimpers to get the puppy back. When she rarely goes outside to go potty, she whimpers real loud to get back in the room with her puppies. She's a good mommy.

Bow Wow Bed & Biscuits is not your average doggie day care or kennel. It’s a dog daycare, dog sitting, dog boarding, dog grooming, a dog vacation, and bed & biscuits in a country farm setting. Bow Wow Bed & Biscuits is a dog kennel alternative for your happy dog.

We like to think that we are the best dog boarding sitters you will find. My wife and I love dogs and will shower your dog with affection and make them a part of our pack. It’s not just a dog bed & biscuits, although that’s a big part of it. We like to pamper our animals here. We want them to be healthy, safe, and happy. That means plenty of freedom to roam, lots of playtime with supervision, meals and treats, and loving care.

We have overnight dog boarding during the day and we are dog sitters in our home at night. And, we do dog grooming when your dog needs it. If it’s a bath they need they will get it. If their nails need clipped, they will get that too. We monitor your dog closely to see how they are doing and if they need anything.

Book your dog on a vacation at Bow Wow Bed & Biscuits today. Your dog will love running around the Shady Acres Farm and playing with our two Basset Hounds and two Beagles. They will come back to you exercised, rested, well fed, washed, brushed out, and revitalized just like you would from a vacation in the country.

The first thing we do here at Bow Wow Bed & Biscuits when a new dog wants to stay with us is a meet and greet. You can come out to Shady Acres Farm and get to know us and our dogs before you book a stay. This will tell us if your dog will fit into our pack, and whether your dog would enjoy a little vacation with us.

While our dog is here at Bow Wow Bed & Biscuits, they will get lots of attention because we work from home in a dog-friendly office. We have dog beds and blankets in our offices so that the dogs can hang out with us when we are in there. Our Basset Hounds are very people friendly and kind of follow us around all day. They love to meet new people or new dogs.

We take breaks in the sun room and the dogs like to hang out there with us too. From there the dogs have access to the pool deck where they can watch the chickens, donkey, and cow. They can also see the neighbor cows in the 12-acre pasture next to us from the pool deck. If you do not want your dog near the pool or on the pool deck, we can close the sliding glass door to it for the duration of your dogs stay.

Sometimes we will work on our garden during extended breaks or weekends and the dogs love to help. There is a fire pit with chairs around it that we can sit in and watch your dog play with our dogs. Our dogs like to chase each other with sticks or toys, and wrestle in the grass while we watch them. We get out there and play with them too and take them on little walks within our one-acre fenced in area. Your dog will have plenty of room to run around with our dogs in beautiful, relaxing setting.

Your dog will be treated as one of our pack at Bow Wow Bed & Biscuits. Our dogs have been around a lot of different dogs and get along well with them. For many years we have taken them to dog parks to meet a wide range of dogs, we’ve babysat dogs for other dog owners, and they never have a problem with strange dogs being around.

From time to time we will go with them on walks around the property. On occasion we also take them on a leash, walking them down the long dirt road to get the mail, or just to see and smell the sights. There is an open three-acre field just across from our farm that they love to explore. If you want a more regimented walk schedule for your dog, we can do that too. There’s lots of room around here to stretch out our legs.

If your dog gets dirty while they’re out playing around, we’ll wash your dog in the doggy washing station, dry them with a towel, and brush them out. We aim to make our dogs feel pampered while they are here on vacation. We will also take pictures of your dogs’ various activities here at the farm, and we can send those to you during their stay, so you know they are having fun and being well cared for.

We feed our dogs a low carb diet that keeps them lean and fit. If you have special food that you want us to give your dog, then let us know. We will feed them separately so that our dogs do not disturb them while they eat and put your dog’s food up so that our dogs don’t get into it. We usually feed the dogs in the morning around 8 am, and at night around 6 pm.

In the evenings after dinner we spend time loving up on and cuddling with our dogs. We will do the same for your dog. We take them in the game room where we play pool and they can wrestle around on the floor. We may go for a swim and they can hang out on the pool deck with our dogs. Usually we all get together to watch a little TV in our living room to settle them down at night. This is where the dogs get cuddles, belly rubs, ear scratches, and rub downs.

When we go to bed, we will put your dog in a comfortable bed in our living room or bedroom so we can monitor them during the night. If they need to go potty, or get water, we can get up and let them get what they need. If they have anxiety, we will comfort them.
