Cedars Point Kennel/Small Munsterlander Breeder-South Dakota Cedars Point Kennel offers stud services, breeds three females and trains Small Munsterlanders. Kennel owners are Jeff and Brenda Mizenko

Cedars Point Kennel began when Gosch's Cir Conn our first Small Munsterlander was approved as a stud for breeding in 2018. In 2019 we purchase our first female breed stock. Once these girls were approved for breeding by the Small Munsterlander Club of America we started breeding them in 2021. Cedars Point's mission is to promote and selectively breed Small (Kleine) Munsterlanders (SMs) who meet th

e FCI Standard for the breed (below). Our aim is to promote and breed SMs who have confidence, drive and balanced temperament, while meeting the criteria of the FCI standard with respect to general appearance, body proportion, structure, behavior, temperament, coat, gate, movement, and size. Temperament and confirmation are of utmost importance to Cedars Point Kennel. Temperament influences train-ability and confirmation directly impacts how the dog will hold up to the tasks innate to its purpose. To this end we will strive to produce versatile hunting dogs that have sound temperaments, strong confirmation/structure so to bring forth trainable hunting and performance test proven, lifelong family members and companions. We prefer to place puppies in hunting/performance/working and testing/certification homes.

Our Story

Jeff Mizenko and Brenda Velasco are a couple of Cedar loving individuals who became sold on the Small Munsterlander breed after moving to South Dakota in May of 2013. After one winter in South Dakota Jeff knew skiing in the Black Hills wasn't going to sustain him, only his pooch. So instead of growing large around the belly he started to explore other winter pastimes in the state. Since South Dakota has some of the best upland hunting in the nation he set his sights on finding a furry friend. After a long wait that lasted over a year and a half IntCH Gosch's Cir Conn Cedar became his best companion. Currently we are working with three girls on breeding approval and testing. We expect to have our first litters Fall of 2020 or Spring of 2021.
