Jolly ball after grooming 💜🐾🐶
Whistle recall. This is good for hunting dogs as they hunt sometimes a distance away from us after the bird/squirrel /coon/bear but also for an emergency recall situation for any dog that you have with access to open range at times or for off leash freedoms in some places. It has to be taught correctly or it can be less effective when used. Any negative use of this recall or any recall training will result in the dog trusting less that it’s better than what they are after with that powerful nose. Negative “Use” such as making them go inside immediately (when it’s not an emergency situation), yelling if you repeatedly scream for them, instead you want to play with their favorite toy or ball for a few moments, lots of praise for coming to you. Do not chase them as this quickly will become a “game” that you don’t want.
A clients dog I keep from time to time. I was working with him on down. He is a smart boy. Christmas is around the corner and if you are getting a puppy please contact me for an initial puppy training consult within 2 weeks of bringing the puppy home so habits you are starting that May be wrong won’t be as hard for you and pup to break. Most calls I start receiving are when the dog is 6-9 months old. Now at 6-9 months old it’s harder to break those habits at this point for both you and the pup instead of the first few weeks of bringing them home. Many people think they have it under control bc the pup is so small. Don’t forget a larger breed will by 6 months Almost be uncontrollable for your body if you have not started any training.
