Has anyone else tried rabbit supplements? Recently we’ve had some rabbit breeder friends reach out asking how we keep our rabbits looking their best. I just need to take a second and rave a bit about Ashley Sloan and the rabbit supplements she provides at TheRustyFeedBucket.com. This summer heat has been absolutely brutal down here on the coast of South Carolina. The humidity has made it so much worse. My daughter shows our Creme D’ Argents and Champagne D’ Argents year round. We were so nervous about keeping them in peak condition and their coats looking fabulous for the show table. We started using a couple products from The Rusty Feed Bucket a few months ago to combat summer conditions and keep every one healthy and their diets complete. We are really happy with the results. My daughter gets feedback from the judges at almost every show complimenting their amazing coats and condition. So far our faves have been Bunny Bloom by Oxy-Gen and Z1L for Market Rabbits. Just needed to make sure to give a shout out to them because I know they have helped us keep our rabbits healthy and maybe they could help another rabbitry as well.

Another great show! We did a quick (too quick) trip down to Green Cove, Florida for Arden to put the Champagnes and a couple Cremes on the table. Snow will now be a double Grand Champion 🏆 after this show. Radish also snuck in a Best of Breed too letting Snow know she’s right behind her. The show asked Arden to show in open instead of youth where she was very happy to show with 16 other Champagnes for two shows. Proudly, she came away with 3 Best of Breed with Snow and 1 Best of Breed with Radish out of the 4 shows. The Cremes got nice feedback as juniors…but we were the only ones showing them. Still always good to get them on the table too. 💛🩶 Snow snagged two Reserve in Shows as well. 🩷

Cooler temps mean more bunny play time! We are very grateful for cooler nights and lower humidity… even if it’s just for a few days.

We decided to go to the Covington, GA show today to dry out a bit from hurricane Debbie. We had a good bit of re-routing to get there… but we made it 😅. Flooding around us is insane! We had a great time and we were really impressed with the judges. Everyone was so friendly and took time to give us such constructive feedback. Snow and Arden snagged another Best in Show! Snow will now be a Grand Champion 🥹 and Arden couldn’t be more proud. Arden also enjoyed showing some youngsters in the Creme D’ Argent speciality youth show. This has been a long hot summer but the judge was still very happy with them and gave Arden high marks. We brought home a new, very sweet Creme doe from a lovely Creme breeder and friend. ❤️❤️❤️

Another successful day at the rabbit show. We are all back home and the bunnies are relaxing. Arden and Snow are such a great team. She got amazing feedback and the judges were very pleased with Snow. She may be a convention contender 🤞🏻 if she can stay in condition. Best of Breed each time with two Best in Show finishes 🫶🏻. We brought a few other younger bunnies that did well… but Snow stole the show.

Awesome first night at Peaches and Palmetto Rabbit Show. Let’s hope for more of these tomorrow. Very proud of Snow, our Champagne D’ Argent and the lovely Arden! Can’t believe we pulled a Best in Show with the summer temps and humidity we’ve been having. 🫶🏻

Two little Holland Lop does will be looking for a new kid best friend soon. Broken Chesnut coloring and handled everyday by our girls. Dad is an excellent 4H bunny and mom is an ARBA showmanship bunny. Those little ears will drop all the way soon 😍

Nice Champagne D’ Argent buck born 2/24/24. Handled a lot by little 4Hers. Great even temperament. Still silvering out, both parents have great coloring and have done nicely on show tables. Video in comments.

Our rabbitry name comes from the nickname of the town we live in. These pics make it easy to see why our area is called Flower Town. Azelias, Dogwoods, Camelias, and just about every other flowering plant, shrub, or tree can be seen on every block and street of our town. 🌺 🌸 🌹 Spring has certainly sprung and I am updating some of the bunny pics on the flowertownrabbits.com website. ❤️

So much fun today! Couscous (Creme d’ Argent) got BOB Youth A and Snow (Champagne d’ Argent) got BOB for Open A and B. Arden got 1st place for her rabbit showmanship. We met lots of amazing bunny people and had a wonderful time at the show. 🫶🏻 One more show tomorrow then heading back home.

This handsome boy is traveling to his new home next week! This was a special litter near and dear to my heart. Mom is an imported Romanian, Continental German Giant that took my whole heart! I see her so much in these babies. At 14 weeks he’s already well over 10lbs and his sister is over 11lbs ❤️. I love how he’s put together and his huge spoon ears. 🫶🏻
* All babies from this litter have amazing homes.

We are so proud of Arden for her youth BOB and Reserve Best in Show (RIS) win with this very promising junior Creme d’Argent doe (out of Birdie and Bordeaux) at the Monroe, NC show this weekend. Our Champagne d’ Argents did very well too and got great feed back as well as good direction on things to work on. We took home several 1st and 2nds to be very proud of. I was very happy with the nice showing of Cremes and Champagnes at this show. I met some amazing people and made so wonderful new friends.

One of the sweetest families came by to pick up Sawyer today. He’s the last baby from our previous Continental Giant litter of Blues and REWs. My heart is so full. Sawyer’s name will be changed to Buster and he will live an amazing life with two kids to adore him.

The cute, German Giant litter, from the Romanian import doe, are growing up so fast! These guys are 12 days old and have their eyes open and bouncing around. I can barely fit them in one hand anymore. Baby otter or baby bunny… you decide.

So excited to announce our first litter this Fall. 8 gorgeous Creme D’ Argents kits with nice pedigreed lines. We have another Creme litter that should be born next week as well as a couple Champagne D’ Argent litters and a much anticipated litter from Adelheid, a Romanian imported Continental German Giant doe.

We had so much fun at the SC State Fair rabbit show today! We won a few ribbons and got some feedback for our Creme D’Argents and Champagne D’Argents. Really excited for what the future holds for our bunnies!

What a gorgeous false fall day to spend with the bunnies! Gosh I wish this weather would stick around for good. Everyone got their nails clipped, brushed out, and working on posing for shows. Something I try to do thoroughly every couple weeks.
