My sweet Snow. You will be missed so so much and never forgotten. You never met a stranger and everyone who met you instantly fell in love with you. You were the absolute best girl. I selfishly wanted to keep you here with me as long as I could but at the same time I didn’t want to see you keep fighting and hurting. I am grateful for the time I had with you and for the extra month and a half that we got to spend with you after I thought your time was up then. We sent every moment with you we could and I’ll always remember that. You fought hard and I’m glad you can rest now and not hurt. You treated our new baby like your own and have already taught her to be a sweet baby.
Rats are wonderful creatures/pets but every now and then you get one that is just so perfect. Snow was one of those perfect babies. I will continue to work on breeding healthy rats that live longer. Because that is the only negative thing about them.

Our newest baby and first baby we have had in a long while! She was a surprise baby as I didn’t know the parents were dwarf carriers but I paired two of my rats right before our move to try to save my original Harley line. Not only did we get 2 Harley girls we also got this adorable little pearl variegated dwarf girl! 😍

Sharing this as there is a lot of misconceptions with these genes and this post is very informative. Here at Curgan’s Rattery we don’t currently work with Rex or double Rex, we do work with recessive hairless and I have had one litter from patchwork carriers.

Attention: my family is going on a cruise for our summer vacation leaving this weekend and coming back after the following.
