We need your help. Brantley and I are doing a quick impromptu donation drive for a sweet family in WNC. My best friend Sammie has a family friend who unfortunately lost everything when the floods devastated the area from Hurricane Helene. This quick donation drive is just a small gesture to hopefully lighten their load during an incredibly difficult time. Brantley and I will be heading up next Friday to deliver everything. This family of 5 lost their home, along with the carp lake and catfish pond that provided their livelihood. Though donations may not seem like much to some, we are hoping it will provide even a little relief in covering basic needs during this real-life nightmare. They are currently staying in a hotel due to being displaced, so we are wanting to keep things fairly basic. Since the children are older, I felt gift cards would be a meaningful way to let them pick out what they need like clothes and maybe add a bit of happiness to their day amidst all the devastation.

I truly cannot imagine losing my home and everything I and my family own. Being in fear for your life and your husband/children's life during a storm like Helene. Having to search high and low for food and water. No power. People looking to loot. Straight Apocolyptic. It makes me physically nauseous and I wish there was more we could do. For now, we will serve in this way. We know the Lord is faithful and will always provide. To my WNC people, you know who you are. I love you and I am so thankful you are safe!
