Creekside Taxidermy is in search of 2 high quality photos to be permanently printed and featured on a new backdrop display. This display will be setup at any outdoor related events, shows, and expos that we attend.

Requirements:

-The photos must be “semi-artsy”, meaning super high quality with an outdoor related backdrop to the photo, sunset, etc

-photos can be of a kill, hunting in the woods, with family, or other related hunting themes.

-if we choose your photo, you must sign a waiver saying it’s okay to print and use your photo at our digression

-some examples as to what I have in mind are below as well as what these photos will be printed on

Here is a behind the scenes look at the latest post. The form was modified for both size and pose. At the end you can see the rock that was used as well before it was painted to appear as a natural rock.

Keep in mind not all taxidermists are capable of the same things. Taxidermists are artists. Choose wisely when finding one capable of producing the quality of work you want and desire.

Archery bear completed, taken in Colorado! I’m assuming it to be an older Sal. The bear had super long, thick, wire like hair. This bear was altered to look down and right, to be mounted high up on the customers wall. A fun project to be a part of!

Goodluck to all the bear hunters tomorrow! I know lots of local taxidermists aren’t taking in bears but we are! We have lots of room! We will also will skin bears FOR FREE if the mount / tanning will be completed by us. Give us a call, 814-227-3199.

Also! Keep in mind, we will charge EXTRA if the skinning is completed by a butcher or someone else, where the skull is left inside the the hide. Removing the skull from the hide after it is skinned, is incredibly difficult and inconvenient.

The elk I mounted and posted a few weeks ago was shot and killed in New Mexico, traveled here to PA to be mounted, and then made another trip to Florida where he is now hanging in his forever home! We love customer photos! Always feel free to send in yours!!

What an absolute hammer of a pa archery deer, with a B&C score of 145 1/8. It had a cool cowlick on its brisket. Congratulations to this lucky hunter!

I include a lifetime warranty on everything I do such as small, common craftsmanship details over time with aging of mounts, and mishaps with your mounts like moving, or it getting bumped off a wall. I am excited to announce that Creekside Taxidermy is now partnered with a few other prestigious animal artists this year to try to keep turnaround times low, and achieve the highest quality possible between different species.

With that being said, for the 2024-2025 season, I am still taking in ALL customer work! From european mounts, to deer, to lifesize bears, to western animals and more, I have you covered! I also offer other services such as transportation of mounts, repair work, and cape buying. Just give me a call!

Today, I got what might be a once in a lifetime opportunity to help mount a lifesize hippo with collective artists all across Pennsylvania, with , for . What a neat project with great people! Wessners are always up to crazy things! They have a lifesize rhino, elephant and a few giraffes in the works for the future. Unfortunately, I couldn’t stay to see the finished project, but I may post pictures when I hear it’s all finished! They have a ton of work left to finish! Now, back to work at my own shop!

I’ve been waiting in anticipation to post this one!! Customer finally picked up so here it is!! I love when customers give me a challenge and provide me with a picture of a real life animal, and say, “can you do this?” The answer is always yes!!
