The elk I mounted and posted a few weeks ago was shot and killed in New Mexico, traveled here to PA to be mounted, and then made another trip to Florida where he is now hanging in his forever home! We love customer photos! Always feel free to send in yours!!

It’s that time of year again, hunting season is upon us!

Creekside Taxidermy promotes itself to be a “piece by piece” rather than an “assembly line” facility. I strive to bring each and every mount back to life, with no shortcuts. Every mount that goes through my shop is perfected to the finest of details, in a lot of which the typical client won’t be able to pick out, but together, just makes you say, “wow”. As a hunter, I understand your mount is greater than just a deer on the wall. It encapsulates the memories made with friends and family through a lifestyle.

Creekside Taxidermy ensures that the quality of your mount is guaranteed. I include a lifetime warranty on everything I do such as small, common craftsmanship details over time with aging of mounts, and mishaps with your mounts like moving, or it getting bumped off a wall. You can trust in Creekside Taxidermy, where memories are mounted forever.

I am excited to announce that Creekside Taxidermy is now partnered with a few other prestigious animal artists this year to try to keep turnaround times low, and achieve the highest quality possible between different species.

With that being said, for the 2024-2025 season, I am still taking in ALL customer work! From european mounts, to deer, to lifesize bears, to western animals and more, I have you covered! I also offer other services such as transportation of mounts, repair work, and cape buying. Just give me a call!

Today, I got what might be a once in a lifetime opportunity to help mount a lifesize hippo with collective artists all across Pennsylvania, with , for . What a neat project with great people! Wessners are always up to crazy things! They have a lifesize rhino, elephant and a few giraffes in the works for the future. Unfortunately, I couldn’t stay to see the finished project, but I may post pictures when I hear it’s all finished! They have a ton of work left to finish! Now, back to work at my own shop!

I’ve been waiting in anticipation to post this one!! Customer finally picked up so here it is!! I love when customers give me a challenge and provide me with a picture of a real life animal, and say, “can you do this?” The answer is always yes!!

Some turkey art finished up a few weeks ago. At Creekside Taxidermy, even something as simple as a tail fan mount gets the highest detail. The legs on each fan mount are injected just like on a lifesized mount, to reduce shrinking to get that lifelike, “full” bodied appearance, and are repainted to that pink/purple fleshy color!

Water change day!

I mounted this elk up a while back and never got around to editing a video... so here it is!! This kinda gives you a down and dirty idea of what is all involved in mounting one of these big game animals. Bull was taken out of Montana.

Degreasing!!

If you’ve been waiting on your euro, im getting close with some of the archery deer!! As of now, not one skull from the 22-23 season has been sent home just yet!! Check out the photos in the comments of some of the archery deer getting close!! No chemical whiteners have been used on the skulls yet. They’re purely still in the degreasing stage, you can see how clean they can become with a little more time and patience. Thanks again for being patient with me! I strive for quality work in everything I send out the door.

A little antler repair and color on this buck! The buck had some antler and skull damage when it came into the shop. During the degreasing process the antlers totally lost all color and stained very bad. A little touch up you’d never know! Check out that broken eye socket, deer are sure tough!
