Luna working on her "bed" command. ❤️ This is the same thing as using the command "place". You can use whichever term you'd like, whatever you choose, you want the "place" or the "bed" to be the best place to be! Treats keep coming on the bed and stop coming when you get off. So, who would want to leave? 🤷♀️
I was able to do things like walk around the kitchen, open the fridge, pull out a chair at the dining room table, take a seat, walk outside onto the porch, come back in. All while encouraging her to stay in the bed and heavily rewarding her in the bed for doing so. ❤️
By the time I left, she stayed on the bed while I walked across the house, right on out the front door without budging. 👏

If you want your dog to heel on walks with you, no matter where you go, you have to GO. To the parks, to the pet stores, to the dog-friendly events. A huge part of training is desensitization and socialization!
Tip: Don't allow your dog to walk up and say hello to people! Train them to ignore people on walks and to sit for pets. You can allow people to approach THEM to say hello 👋 but only when they are calm and seated. No jumping, no pulling, no craziness. ❤️ You'll thank me later.
