We found Sam in awful condition on March 15, 2024. This is to document his journey to recovery!

Big boy spends today and tomorrow at the vet and then no more shots for him and hopefully no more heart worms!

Sam started his Heartworm treatment yesterday!! Only 60 days and little buddy will be feeling so much better! We can’t wait to see his full personality come to light after his treatment is finished! 🫶🏻

Little buddy finished his first full bag of food yesterday and is up to 46 lbs already!!! 🥳🥳

Little buddy went to the vet on Friday night for X-Rays of his leg that he is having trouble walking on and won’t put weight onto when standing, and we found out the vet believes it is an old dislocation that healed improperly, unfortunately, they can’t treat it currently due to his heartworms, but the only solution in the future is surgery so this baby has a long road ahead, but will be loved the whole way 🫶🏻

If anyone is able to donate we would be so grateful as the x-rays and radiology were very expensive.

He’s getting bigger and stronger by the day!! He’s up to 42 lbs from 36 lbs when we first got him over the weekend!!
